Greetings. Deb is going to put a sticky on this thread and eventually delete the other.
This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
Jahra, I was beginning to think I was going to have to cheer myself on. Thanks.
Sarah, the stress of nursing school and motherhood is a roller coaster. You're doing fine and you can do this.
Zoe, I only wish John was a food deterrent, but even if he says what I eat looks like dog poop, I still gorge it down. LOL
I'm off to yoga class in a few! Have a great day!
Thanks Zoe and Tweety. :)
Zoe - yes, I am beginning to see that perhaps my pattern never was that great to begin with, I just didn't have anything to compare it with and was rather uneducated in that area, so thought it normal. I do feel a bit zombie-like. Hopefully they can run some tests in Oct. and get me straightened out.
Tweety - sory I missed that, great job with the ice cream aversion - I couldn't have done so well today.
Goodnight y'all!

I guess I'm that way too Tweety! Wish it DID work, I'm sure I could connive a few people to make me think gross thoughts about what I'm eating. But like you I'd eat it anyway!
I remember probably 10 years ago reading a Reader's Digest article on losing weight, and one method was to imagine your favorite foods, um... well let's say for example ice cream, covered with something that... oh see I can't even be so cruel as to SAY IT - but - even imagining "those" on my ice cream never stopped me -- lol!
{{{{{{{{{{Tweety}}}}}}}}}} It's ok if you are not "Twiggy", we all love you anyway!
Heard anything from your niece?
Thanks Zoe and Tweety. :)Zoe - yes, I am beginning to see that perhaps my pattern never was that great to begin with, I just didn't have anything to compare it with and was rather uneducated in that area, so thought it normal. Sarah, maybe you can get just a CBC called in to the lab at work, make sure you're not anemic, sigh... you are doing so much anyway! To be running at a deficit is hard! Well, it is up to you. Know you have someone who's thinking about you anyway!
xo
I am trying to get better with diet and exercise. It isn't just about diet and exercise it has to be the whole person and I am working on that but it takes time.
Hi! Good luck to you. Sounds like you have the right attitude. It's right, it's not enough to just diet. You have to work on attitude, pyschosocial issues, physical issues, the whole gammut. If it were easy, we'd all be doing it.
Your patiences is another attribute. Good luck and keep in touch. I hope you come back often.
