Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:
AP1: B
AP1LAB: A
AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL
AP2 LAB: PENDING
MICROBIOLOGY: A
MICRO LAB: A
ENGL 1: A
HUMAN GROWTH: A
Psych: A
I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.
I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?
Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though
Hey nursejennv, are you still waiting on your clearance card? Have you heard anything from TBON? I was fingerprinted on the 11th but still haven't received anything and I'm really worried.
Does anyone know if this is an unusually long amount of time to be waiting on your clearance card? After completing everything else and all the time/money/effort spent on this I will be devastated if I don't get in because my I don't have my blue card in time...

I applied to fall 2020. I never received my TBON card. My fingerprint was done on June 16. one of my friends got an email from the advisor. saying if we don't have our TBON card we may have to apply to the Spring. They said they won't extend dates any more
@Vinod Samuel That is what I feared would happen. I went to campus yesterday to try to speak to someone and they are closed due to COVID. I am very disappointed but I guess I will have to apply for Spring ?
@Vinod Samuel hey May I ask how you did your fingerprints on the 16th after the original deadline the 12th? And who your friend spoke with I haven’t been able to get in touch with anybody.
@Beebee10hey , I didn't even got a notification about the deadline for fingerprinting. they sent me my fingerprint email in the first week of June. I cannot take fingerprints unless they sent me an email. I did all part right. I put an application in January the first week. They were very late to send us an email.
@nursejennvhey, I know right. they said they won't extend the deadline. in most schools, the blue card is only needed on the first day of school or the beginning of the clinical. I have no idea why they making this a requirement for admission. I'm very upset now
IDK why they were so late I received my email May 29th. I’m confused on the entire process starting from the letter of intent. I read the letter of intent thinking I was in because it said so. Now all of this they are behind and won’t even over look just a simple blue card. I’m so tired
@Beebee10 exactly, not a fair game at all. The notification from hcc says with or without fingerprinting we get a blue card. That was not right at all. The school sent the fingerprint email really late. it was not our fault at all. we did our part. Now they are pushing behind because of blue card.

To the ones that were pending their TBON card, have you guys received a status or found a new contact person?
With this second COVID wave/quarantine, I’m beginning to really worry. I have not received my TBON card yet and I’m not sure what else to do.
