Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:
AP1: B
AP1LAB: A
AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL
AP2 LAB: PENDING
MICROBIOLOGY: A
MICRO LAB: A
ENGL 1: A
HUMAN GROWTH: A
Psych: A
I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.
I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?
Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though
It’s even frustrating because Contacting someone is sooo hard. They use to respond to emails fast now we can’t even get a return email or phone call answered. ??♀️
@Beebee10 they are not responding to anyone, I literally sent emails to three people none replied. I was not expecting that. I called the nursing board to check my status they said they already sent my card. I wish we could have tracking or we can download it digitally. since we all have been approved for it asking it physically in our hand is not fair
During the info session, they stated that the letter of intent was a conditional admittance to the program but that it wasn't final until one submitted all the required documentation.
I know the deadline for the submission of documents was June 12th, but they also sent an additional email on June 16th with links for those who had not received a fingerprint appointment from IdentoGo. This suggests they are aware that there are several applicants pending to receive their blue cards and should be considerate of that. Otherwise, I do not understand why they would advise students to schedule and pay out-of-pocket for a fingerprints/background check if they knew they would not accept it because it was passed the deadline.
I highly doubt they would place that financial burden on their students and hope they do the right thing and extend the deadline considering the lack of support applicants have received with the application process due to COVID and recent campus closures.
@nursejennv so as long as we completed everything we are in? That’s what the letter of intent meant or we could still be denied? I’m hoping they only look at immunizations since the blue card was out of our hands. And TBON updated their system a few days after getting email so that delayed everything
@Beebee10 yes. God is great. We got approval, my friend. It was the only proof we had. since we are already approved for a blue card, they cannot reject us on the basis of not having the physical card because COVID 19 is making everything slow.
