Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:
AP1: B
AP1LAB: A
AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL
AP2 LAB: PENDING
MICROBIOLOGY: A
MICRO LAB: A
ENGL 1: A
HUMAN GROWTH: A
Psych: A
I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.
I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?
Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though
Hello Everyone CONGRATS to the people that were accepted, I would like to know if someone was accepted with this type of grades, GPA and HESI scores, I will be applying for Spring 2021, also do you recommend to re-take classes? I’m thinking to maybe re-take english 1301, A&P 1 lec and Micro to get higher grades and bump my GPA. I will really appreciate your help
Hello @Auroriux1 as of right now we don’t know just yet who’s been accepted for fall 2020. My stats are similar to yours GPA 3.0 and HESI 95 but we haven’t gotten letters yet. It’s based on points but I honestly can’t even tell you how the points work. I’ve talked to some people from previous cohorts who got accepted with 3.0 GPA and 90 on HESI and even 88 on HESI. I’m not sure if you should retake anything. I think Spring deadline is beginning August. I’ll let you know if I get in with my stats.

It also says I have 71 total points, and 76.344% at the bottom of the application. (Not sure if thats good or not)

believe it or not, just quizlets, I've looked around on this site and it seems like the only good chances are from applicants 85+ points, but I think that was out of a 104 point rubric

All at HCC, its only my second, or third year? 19 years old, so I guess almost fresh out of high school? Also male. I don't know, im just really nervous now, I thought a 3.5 GPA was good but it doesnt give that much points on the rubric
