HCC coleman Fall 2020

Published

Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:

AP1: B

AP1LAB: A

AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL

AP2 LAB: PENDING

MICROBIOLOGY: A

MICRO LAB: A

ENGL 1: A

HUMAN GROWTH: A

Psych: A

I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.

I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?

Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though

does anyone got their instruction email for orientation?

I did receive mine and I think some others did as well. If you haven't email the nursing department.

Hey @Juicetiin when we receive the official status of admission into the program. I will post mine but what I'd say is take all the classes possible pre requisites and co requisites to get extra point. It comes down to how competitive other applicants are but also have all your immunization record ready so when it's asked for you will have it.

Thanks for the reply, I've taken all pre-reqs, and psychology and AP2 co-reqs. I thought I had good grades with 3.5 GPA and 94 overall HESI score, but I only have 71/93 points on the application so im really nervous. Regarding the immunizations, can you list them for me? I cant find them online

@Vinod SamuelDid you get the email from Thursday 07/03/20, that stated you were suppose to receive an email with link to the orientation? Are you missing any of the requirement on castle branch, eg Immunizations and BON card?

I did receive the progression notice which says I will receive an email about my orientation steps prior to July 10

@Juicetiin it is pretty much Tdap, Hep A,B, C three doses and a positive titer for each of them, Varicella and positive titer, MMR and a positive titer, CPR AHA, physical exam. Do not worry about your points that's pretty high and the advisers would review and make adjustments as needed.

@Vinod Samuel I will say to send another email to the program director and the nursing department again. In the email under SUBJECT put IMPORTANT ADN ORIENTATION. HELP! so that way if they don't even open the email they can tell something is up and will click on it.
