Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:
AP1: B
AP1LAB: A
AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL
AP2 LAB: PENDING
MICROBIOLOGY: A
MICRO LAB: A
ENGL 1: A
HUMAN GROWTH: A
Psych: A
I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.
I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?
Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though

Thats what I hope, IDK 71/93 rubric score is a 76%, I think im at the bottom of the barrel, its hard to contact anyone in the actual program from this forum, I think they just leave this site after acceptance LOL
Hey y’all I applied for fall 2020. We haven’t received acceptance letters yet so we don’t know who got in. What I can say is people is just apply don’t worry about your points or GPA. IDK exactly what they look at but some people with super high points got denials.
Hey yall, I am so confused on why the process for JUST acceptance to an ADN program is this complicated. So on July 10th, we get the login. Then on July 20-21 we have orientation. AND THEN on July 22nd we find out if we got in? It seems so backwards..
@damu0708 it definitely seem backwards. They already sent out alternate and denial emails. So I’m thinking as long as you attend orientation we are accepted. But if we don’t we will get denied. I honestly don’t see how can you attend the orientation and then get denied. Makes no sense to me

About the denial letters, I know of some whom I applied with, that got their denial letter due to incomplete immunization and drug test. I didn't know some already got their letter as an alternate. If they did do you know when?
I received my letter of intent and had everything done and received the email about moving on to the next step of orientation on the 20th and 21st too. I think they already ranked everyone in my opinion but why not just let us know and save ourselves the hassle and time unless they have another plan.
Exactly it’s very confusing. But we got emails about orientation last Thursday. They sent out alternate letters that Friday and denials went out Monday
it doesn’t make sense to have a alternate list without picking your students. Why invite people your not picking to orientation
I haven't gotten any further email about the orientation login instructions. Per the email sent out last week, it said to contact the department which I did few minutes ago. So I'm going to wait for their response which sometimes comes faster than usual to my surprise. Probably before the day runs out. If you receive yours please let us know as well.
