Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:
AP1: B
AP1LAB: A
AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL
AP2 LAB: PENDING
MICROBIOLOGY: A
MICRO LAB: A
ENGL 1: A
HUMAN GROWTH: A
Psych: A
I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.
I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?
Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though
@Beebee10and the people are on the alternative list because of the blue card issue. which would have been avoided. and in the email, they are explaining that after July 30 they will grade everyone in the alternative list and send them orientations. I did not know that its kind of like waiting where we have to wait for some people to drop. they should have addressed it to the email they sent has too much hope but I don't think it supposed to be that hopeful
@Juicetiinthey sent some of us an email for fingerprint really late. they did not have a deadline in their past emails for the blue card but suddenly they said June 30 so some of us uploaded our receipt instead of our card and they put us in an alternative list. they did not tell us anything about acceptance yet. they will only tell after July 30

yeah I understand that part, but other than that, you were accepted right? If you were did you have any previous experience in hospitals?
I’m not sure if anyone has brought this up cause I quite reading these messages when I got denied. But from what I’ve heard, if you’re still waiting to get fingerprinted, and your appointment is far out, try and just do a walk in. So many people from the school I WAS accepted too have done that and got their blue cards pretty quickly.

It’s very hard to determine what they look at when picking their students.
