HCC coleman Fall 2020

Published

Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:

AP1: B

AP1LAB: A

AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL

AP2 LAB: PENDING

MICROBIOLOGY: A

MICRO LAB: A

ENGL 1: A

HUMAN GROWTH: A

Psych: A

I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.

I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?

Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though

@Vinod Samuel have your degree plan changed in your HCC my eagle?

@Beebee10my planner still the same. I'm upset now. no one responds to emails

You can’t register until your degree plan is changed. Everybodies has been changed since last Sunday. You think it’s a error? @Vinod Samuel the others I know in alternate hasn’t heard anything.

@Beebee10 I emailed them again yesterday, whatever they do they have to tell me something on august 1 anyways. they might be messing my things up, one advisor told me she will research about it but never replied back.

Hello soon to be nursing students! I ran into this page today and I just wanted to let you know who I am and give you all some advice.

To whoever will see this:

I am one week away from graduating their ADN program after 2 years at HCC. For me it was a journey I will never forget. When you begin, you may feel anxious about the workload, how to study, how you will manage family, work, and a social life. For the first few weeks you will cry, you will be stressed, you will want to quit. But you all are not quitters; You all are smart and you should be very proud of yourselves; and if you have made it here, you have come very, very far. After a couple of weeks you will get the hang of things and you just have to hold on tight. Remember this, from the moment you begin till the day you take your last final, you will have to be like the tiger and its prey. YOU are the tiger and this degree is your prey. Don't keep your eyes off of it, be vigilant, and never give up; I like to call it, "Survival mode" LOL. Anyway, I wish you all the best in this educational journey, you will all get very far.

Sincerely,

Ruth

I've got an acceptance letter today from HCC. I don't know what to do now, because I've got accepted to San Jacinto as well and I purchased the uniform and signed up for classes. Any advice would help

no

Very weird, they started to send the letters of acceptance for Spring 2021, anyways do you wanted to go to San Jac or HCC, I think is your preference San Jac is a year and a half and HCC is 2 years, also paying in district or out of district and what is best for you. You already bought your stuff for San jac so again it is up to you where you want to go.

@Auroriux1

the letter of intent s aren’t acceptance letters. Everybody who meet the academic requirements will get the letter of intent. So many people applied for fall got the letter of intent and got denied. And HCC nursing program is 1 year and 3months not two years. San Jac is two straight years. I’m a student starting the program on the 24th. I would just go with what I already spent my money on.
