Hey dudes & dudettes,

I taking my LPN board exam end of April and I needed HELP!..I have been studying the Mosby's and also Lipponcott book, but they both dont have the same information. Shouldn't all the books have the same information??..Example...I was studying the outline for blood disorders in the Mosby book and then I did the questions in the Lipponcott book (has only questions, no outlines)....but the outline did not have all the blood disorders. Do I just study what is in the Mosby's outline book and nothing further or what??..please help cause I am having an PANIC ATTACK.

And I PASSED!!!!!

The first thing I did before i began was to take a deep, cleansing breath and RELAXED. I went through the instructions on how to take the exam and then took another deep cleasing breath before I beagan the actual test. I completed 85 questions...and I found out otday I passed!-Actually, my friends called me I was soo scared to find out the results!-But my name is on the PA BON website and it is such a relief.

Even if I had to atke the test over, I still had a sigh of relief that it was over and I did the best I could.

I took the nclexpn in 2000 I only studied from the lipponcott book I never did the questions I just reviewed the material. Most importantly 2 days before the exam I didn't look at any of it I just concentrated on rest and relaxation I passed first try. If you did well in school you should have no problems. Some one else already said don't try to learn now concentrate on recalling all the information that you have stored over the last 1.5 years.

The advice that my instructors gave me at the beginning of my classes were, "Pay attention and learn!" They said if you do that then you shouldn't have a problem because there is no easy way to study for the NCLEX. In fact, I tried to study for it also and one question that I had studied ended up being on there. Try to stay relaxed! You will do fine!

Good luck!

Took the test on aprl 5 2005 and found out my results today(located in cali)...found out i PASSED :yelclap: !!!! :balloons: ..thank goodness...I studied from 3 books lippincott, saunders, and nclex made easy(found similar questions in the boards) i had alot on med surg and few priority and i passed with 85 questions..its such a relief :) Good luck!! ;)

Thanks for the advice.Which book did you study from. Did you have any med-surg questions???.....cuase thats what I have been really focusing on. I have been studying from Lipponcott and Mosbys. I study the outline, make flashcards, and do questions. Let me know what you think I should do.

I used Mosbys to prepare for my NCLEX. It was great for me. I just got my results yesterday and I am in heaven!!! I really thought I failed. I have never been happier than I am right now!!!!Good luck to all the future nurses :p

Well I studied the NCLEX made incredibly easy PN it helped me out alot I found mosb'y and saunders just could not break it down for me but we all learn in different ways it helped me alot I hope I passed it cut off at 86? I will see on friday I guess!

Hope the OP passed the NCLEX and perhaps even moved on to the NCLEX RN by now.
