Have you bought any nursing textbooks online? If so, the same edition the school requires? Most importantly, do they come with CDs?
This year I want to buy nursing textbooks online but I am afraid they won't come with Cds...I find cds helpful.
I know a similar thread exists I just can't find it. Sorry.

Yes. Half.com and Amazon.com make it easy to see if you are buying the correct edition. Also, in the comments for the books (if you are buying them used), most sellers indicate if the book comes with a CD. You can look for "CD included", and buy those books, instead of the books that say "CD not included". Sometimes, sellers will not list if the book comes with a CD.. I avoid those.
You can also buy the books new on Amazon.com, they are more expensive than used copies but most likely cheaper than your school bookstore. Really though, many used books can look brand new, so that is what I do.

Yep, what jennafezz said. I bought mine on amazon. I got the numbers off my list of books sent by my professors so I knew I was ordering the right edition. I bought new becase I hate when I'm reading though other people's highlighter marks. New is a bit more, but WAY less than what the university bookstore charges.
If you sign up for amazon prime (free with a student email address), you can get free 2 day shipping.
I swear I didn't know you could buy nursing textbooks online until I registered to this amazing website. I spent over $1000 each semester.
Thanks to both of you for your help.

you can go to booksprice.com and type in the name or isbn of the book you need...and it will look up the prices of that book from various websites...it's pretty convenient :-)
p.s. i ALWAYS buy my books online... the bookstore is such a ripoff!

This is what I do as well as search Amazon/Half.com/Barnes and Nobles. Always cheaper...used books tend to be in slightly better used condition as well. Personally I don't care about book disks because as a whole I've never used them. Also try selling your books to companies like Barnes and Nobles. They in particular offer pretty decent money for used books. They email you a slip if they will accept the book so all you have to do is package the book, tape on the prepaid mailing slip and send it off. Money hits your bank account when they get the book.

As some have said, I've had great luck on Amazon and they due usually indicate whether or not the CD is included!

I second the the Amazon Prime advice above. As long as you have a valid student email address, you get free 2-day shipping for a year. Amazon saved me over $1000 off the bookstore prices my first semester, and I even bought some of them new (Pharmacology, for instance).
If a used book seller doesn't specify in the product info whether the textbook comes with a CD, you can always click "Ask the seller a question" link to verify. Also, be sure to double-check that you are buying the correct edition (check with your professor or the bookstore for the ISBN to be absolutely sure).
Happy online shopping! :)

I always buy my books from Amazon. If you buy the book directly from Amazon, it will be a brand new book which will contain all of the contents and it will still be cheaper than buying it from your bookstore. You could also opt to buy your books from personal sellers on Amazon (new or used) and the personal sellers are usually cheaper than buying directly from Amazon. But all you have to do is look in the comments section and see if it says the CD is included or not for personal sellers, if it doesnt say just email the seller ad ask them (thats what I do).
I just ordered my books from Amazon last night but ordered directly from Amazon, not a personal seller. Im like the person above who doesnt like books with highlighting. I'll be using the same books for 3 more semesters so I dont want to look at previous owners highlighting and note taking (it really distracts me LOL). But I'd definitely go with Amazon especially since they have free 2 day shipping for students if you sign up with your .edu email address...
