I hope I'm not double-posting. I placed this post with the 'reply' button and I don't see it. If I have duplicated, I apologize in advance...
I test next week and have been using Uworld. It is ok, but after about 1000 questions it is starting to seem pretty narrow in scope and the questions are not very challenging (have been using Saunders too, but those questions are way too simple). This morning I started googling "is Uworld too easy?" and it seems like more people are failing the NCLEX with Uworld than when it first appeared a few years ago. My friend who I graduated with took her exam Feb 11 and passed in 75 questions. She only used NCLEX RN Mastery. She said it was good, but I didn't even check it out because I have read so much on here about Uworld. Today I finally tried some of the practice questions on Mastery and now am panicked because the questions are much harder and cover many more things. In retrospect I wish I had started with NCLEX Mastery because now I am worried I don't have enough time to cover everything it has. It is super cheap, which is one of the reasons I didn't think it would be good. My mistake. A couple of people have posted on here about it. It is called NCLEX RN Mastery and I highly recommend it. I have seen posts on here about people failing the NCLEX with Uworld scores around 70, and on the Uworld discussion board (I can access since I am registered) there are several people who have recently failed using Uworld and are asking other Uworld members for suggestions. I hope this helps.
I too want to update and say that yes, Uworld totally rocks. I was worried because I thought the uworld questions were too easy (after I had been using it for a month), but it turns out that I was just learning from the rationales and also learning HOW TO EVALUATE the questions. Passed in 78 questions and the nclex was a piece of cake. Only reason I got 3 extra questions was because of a couple of dumb blunders o n super basic questions. Whole test took 45 minutes! Uworld is SOOOOO worth the money. Just allow yourself plenty of time to read every rationale!!!
Hey UWORLD IS GREAT!!!!!
If you choose to get it...don't focus too much on your percentage as you do the q bank, my overall was about a 55 when I finished all the questions. & I took the Nclex end of last month and passed first try! I think whats most important is the your review all the rationales and make sure you focus on Safety, Infection control, and priority questions!
