I need to get in shape!!
My husband and I were just watching an infomercial for Turbo Jam. Their clients that have used it has had wonderul results - 6-pack abs, down many dress sizes, inches, weight. My husband (who is a sucker for infomercials) has been hagging at me to get the series ($60) but I do not want to get reeled in by their claims.
Anyone have any experience?

Hi BeautifulB,
Hope some of the nurses reply. If you do a search on
www.videofitness.com (on forum) many of the women have tried it.
It seems very popular........
I bought the Quick fit system from Gilad and love it.It also
comes with suggestions for a healthy diet.
Good luck with your fitness goals!

I have Turbo Jam. It is fun. It has some cool music in it. I have tons of exercise tapes. Turbo Jam is not my favorite, but I am an advanced exerciser and tend to like the real intense stuff.
I think it is worth the money though. I can't tell you any extreme stories of weight loss because I don't get my videos for that. I just add them to my collection and do all of them and running/walking to stay fit. I am trying to drop some weight right now but I for me getting my eating in order is tougher. That is what I am working on now....
If you like to dance you will really like Turbo Jam.
You won't get "reeled in by their claims" because Turbo Jam is a bona fide workout. Even the diet program to lose weight fast is pretty sensible because you only do it for one week. If I was trying for long term SENSIBLE weight loss, I would follow the Turbo Jam program and keep my calories somewhere below 1500/day, depending on your weight.
HAVE FUN!!!
FYI.....from Beachbody I also have Power 90 and P90X if you want any info on those. Your hubby would really like P90X if he is an exerciser too! I HIGHLY recommend that series....:)
My absolute favorite tapes???? http://www.cathe.com
Here's a recent link about turbo jam for you!

No, but my best friend and I are going halves on it after I have my baby. I did buy Yoga Booty Ballet and was happy with it though. I lost 20 lbs using it and eating better before I got pregnant with this baby. At least I'll have less to lose afterwards

Happy I found this thread. I am interested in trying it to lose my extra baby weight. It does look fun!

Hi! Found the instructor extremely irritating. You can find these classes at gyms. I have prefered the class in that setting.

I use Tae Bo, Firm, and Zumba (my absolute favorite). Zumba makes me sweat and breathe hard but its fun. It's salsa, merengue, and other types of latin dance. Plus I love the music. It's literally a dancing cd but it works you out. It comes with ab, bun and thigh exercises on another dvd but I usually focus on just the cardio cd. I have noticed that my waist has slimmed. I have a line that comes down the middle of my stomach now and my waist/hip area now has indentations! My thighs and my butt have firmed up too.
I love the shape of salsa/latin dancers since they are still curvy but toned. I am NOT trying to lose my butt but tone this region. I eventually want to become a Zumba instructor because it's so fun and works. My friend got me into it since we both love to dance.

jahra!! Another VF'er!!
Anyways, I was very curious about TJ, heard great things, but there's also a pretty big thread on VF about those who DON'T like it.
What ultimately saved me from buying these were people telling me it's kickboxing meet dancing. I am VERY choreographically challenged, so pffft.
I've lost 22 pounds since April 5th. I've been doing Nutrisystem and working out for the first time in more than four years. The videos I've been doing the most? Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds. She has a new informercial out for WalkSlim. These are workouts where she does the usual walking, but inserts jogging intervals in there. I'm addicted to the 4-mile!! It's done in about 50 minutes, and I burn between 400 and 450 calories a workout!
I also do a bit of Tamilee Webb's Tighter Assets Cardio Blast, Jillian Michaels' Workout for Beginners (a circuit workout, 6 intevals of 30 seconds of cardio followed by 3 weighted workouts). Speaking of weights, getting into Jari Love's Get Ripped.
Good luck! :balloons:

I like Yoga. Yoga may be available on your TV. I use it to stay flexible, strong and to improve my breathing. I also like the Barre workouts. When I can, I take a ballet class twice per week.
