I had my interview last week but I was given a 221g letter stating that my documents will still be reviewed by them and will just receive a letter regarding the result. I have given them all docs that the consul needed. For me, I answered the consul's questions quite well. Actually there were two of them so I think one is some sort of a trainee. I was not asked for any additional docs either. The consul didnt even inform me that my case has to be reviewed. By the end of the interview, she just asked me to take my seat and wait for my number to be called.
At releasing ( when I thought everything was ok) the lady told me about the 221g letter and gave me the pink slip. she said that I will just pay for the courier service just in case the consul decides to send the visa without a second interview.
To all who have undergone this same frustrating experience, please kindly tell me how long it took you to be called for interview or got your visas.
Thank you
yup daning...
after all the waiting, and calling, and wondering, I can't help but think of radical things. i just felt it that way because during my interview, i was one of the less fortunate guys who fall into a very strict and meticulous Filipina pre-screener. remember, we all went through pre-screening. my experience was not so nice. she was asking too much things which I think were not necessary. take the case of a friend who was also interviewed that day with the same person. she was asked why she did not have her wedding in the church. although she was able to present a marriage certificate from the NSO. you have to know that the pre-screener can dictate the fate of our visa. some of the people in my agency were not asked notatrized job offer. Out of 8, I was the only unfortunate being asked to present one. As experienced, the consul did not ask so much questions. he just told me CONGRATULATIONS, I'm sure there will be lot's in your family you'd like to help. and some verifying questions of course.
YOU gave us though an insight of the time line in the embassy. It was very nice of you to share this info. now, i'm given a revitalized hope. thank you.
to all who have the same fate as me... let's not lose hope. just think that everything happened for a reason. this may be a blessing in disguise. we will soon receive what we've been waiting for.
to everyone....i know what you've been going through...i had the same feeling..
i am done with consular interview last june 21 and the visas were delivered june 25 (that's sunday)..
i havent taken the nclex yet..but i am cgfns passer and ielts passer...had a cgfns certificate and visa screen...i have a notarized job offer with pre and post nclex salary...
the consul's decision of whether or not you'll be given a visa is on how consistent and complete your documents are, and the job offer...if your employer is willing to take you without nclex, then the consul would not ask you to take nclex first...
my family and i will be leaving the country this coming week (bound for ca)...i have many "what if's" ...but then i have to face my fear for my family's future..
goodluck to all of us...

so you're all set? do you have a definite nclex exam date already? previous research show the good predictive value of the cgfns exam to the nclex. so i think you'll do just fine.
goodluck and have a safe trip. keep us posted once you're settled in the us already
thank you guys for all the encouraging words,,,i do hope that our visa will arrive sooner.I do have a question, i was having a hard time calling up the embassy,i was not able to contact them,,,can anyone pls help me?i was trying to call the number 1-909-101-7878, i cant get through the line, our phone is pldt teletipid and i used the pldt buget card but i still cant contact them.pls help me.i inquire from the operator and they told me that our phone line was not allowed to contact toll free numbers..how do you contact them?what phonelines are you using?thanks and godbless to all
calling the embassy using a prepaid card is not allowed, for security purposes only. You can call them using a pldt postpaid landline. I usually call in a pldt office branch here in pampanga wherein there are available booths that u can use.. For those who are still waiting for our visa, lets have faith and pray harder.. God will give our visas in HIS time.. pls keep us posted if ur visa has arrived.
thanks abi and jenic for the useful information.i was really worried coz i havent call the embassy and its been a month now since i submitted the lacking dox.Do you think the embassy will call us or send us a letter if there is any problem or they needed more dox or will they wait for us to call them?have u heard of anyone who was uasked to come back again?thanks and godbless all.
...same here, dral. exactly 21st day today, not even a text msg from delbros...nevertheless, let's keep our spirits high! pray more & be optimistic...
Hi guys.... I just read your posts. I certainly feel your anxieties.
I have no advice to offer because it's been a while since my Embasy experience, they may not even apply today anymore. But I know the feeling of waiting.... fear of the unknown...
So I would like to help you all by including you in my prayers.
I know you will all make it here in the US. It's just a matter of time.
Patience is a virtue.
Good luck and keep your fingers crossed.
ive been witing for my visa for 1 month and 4 days to be exact.to tell you guys the truth ,my serotonin is really low and im quite depressed that i havent called the embassy the previous weeks.i just called this afternoon and they said that my visa is still for review,i was worried because i was thinking that maybe the reason for the delay is that i havent call them to follow up the status.Do you think if ever there was a problem will they wait for us to call them or will they send a letter or give you a call immediately?and one more thing its funny coz when they asked me on the fone a while ago for my contact number i mistakenly gave them wrong numbers,i was really anxious and was out of focus and iwas worried that they wont be able to contact me.anyways the value of waiting is the value of a lifetime.if we know how to wait life can be easy coz God knows what to give us in d right time.God is my antidepressant.godbless to all,and to tagamargos, thanks for ur prayers, u will be blessed for ur kindness and to everyone,Godbless and have faith.lets pray for each other.
