I had my interview last week but I was given a 221g letter stating that my documents will still be reviewed by them and will just receive a letter regarding the result. I have given them all docs that the consul needed. For me, I answered the consul's questions quite well. Actually there were two of them so I think one is some sort of a trainee. I was not asked for any additional docs either. The consul didnt even inform me that my case has to be reviewed. By the end of the interview, she just asked me to take my seat and wait for my number to be called.
At releasing ( when I thought everything was ok) the lady told me about the 221g letter and gave me the pink slip. she said that I will just pay for the courier service just in case the consul decides to send the visa without a second interview.
To all who have undergone this same frustrating experience, please kindly tell me how long it took you to be called for interview or got your visas.
Thank you
the embassy would not ususally reply on the mails, emails and fax that i have sent them.. what i did was that i still continue writing them almost every week even with out expecting a reply...sometimes they need to be prompted.. they just emailed me when i got my visa on aug 29, stating that my immigrant visa was approved last aug 25..we received a text from delbros after the delivery of our visa,so it was really unexpected. whether u submiited lacking dox or ur case is for review, its just the same,,because submission of dox and Wait til u hear from us (Admin review) is under the same 221g letter, so all of us here who are have the same case. just have to wait because a lot of nurses and other prof with same cases as ours are also waiting..every day over a hundred of people including fiance and family petitions are submitting lacking dox at the embassy every mon-thurs.
I am sure all of u will receive ur visas soon, hopefully early this month, the embassy should finish all the pending cases in the embassy before the fiscal year ends which is until sept 30...GOD is good all of u will be given visas, its a matter of time and waiting.. for all of those who are waiting I always include u in your prayers..i know how it feels to wait..dont worry guys, it will arrive soon.
Good Day Nurses*
Thank you so much for your reply and really it makes me feel there is hope still. As for my replies to some of your questions. I have called their Immigrant Visa Service Center or whatever they call it, I was informed that my application is still on process. But never did I try to Email nor Fax the Consul General. Then to my reply "PARAW" concerning about the white letter that seem like a checklist. It was not stated there "WAIT TILL YOU HEAR FROM US", I was only told to submit my follow up documents in WINDOWS 17-20, and pay DELBROS for the courier fee.
Actually I am always in LIMBO thinking on what is happening to my papers at the US Embassy in Manila. It is quite a struggle considering you cannot help but CRY. I only try to rationalize it considering the fact that there were news of Filipino Nurses who were not treated well according to their stated contract, maybe that would be one of the reason why they have to scrutinized everything...But then the impact that have brought to some aspiring nurses like me who wants to start a future in the US, came in like a shattered window....and now another news related to the Licensure exams, my o my....what will happen next....
I just want to end my message with HOPE and praying that whoever is reviewing our papers would have the heart and the kind consideration as well as to hear our cries...that we Nurses who have worked hard and sacrifice alot taking and passing the exams and even to the extent draining the family's funds deserves a VISA...

bake pie, you are not alone, you are being heard, you are being looked after, you are being processed...though we can feel where you are at the moment---cheer up! Great and greater things are to come! May you be given more strength & more inspiration to be happy everyday til that day of visa arrival comes. From your story i see no problem or fault at your end so that's good. we just really have to wait---tell us that greatest news when it comes! I wish to be the first to greet you so I'm giving it now--since there's nothing else u need to do with ur papers anyway---MY Congratulations!!
to agp ph, your lawyer is right, its ok to use your maiden name as what is indicated in ur visascreen, prc license, etc.. at the time of ur interview, they will still ask you to submit NBI clearance of ur married name.. i think it would be better to get a new NBI clearance to prevent delay in processing of ur visa, like what happened to me... do u have ur interview date?
Thanks abi17 for the advice. I don't have an interview schedule yet. My case was just completed last Aug 23. I will bring an NBI clearance in my married name though during the interview in case they ask for it. Thanks

Hello! welcome to this forum..
:blushkissI wish both of you will be reunited soon.
Good day Fello Nurses***
Its the first week of September and still I am hoping and patiently wiating for my VISA..I am so happy that eventhough this ordeal I am experiencing my dear one ebay_sumi is always very supportive. I really owe alot to him, from the very start he never given up and still hopes for the BEST that soon enough will be at each others arms. I know even he would not show it, the time I had my interview it was his birthday, and true enough he remained strong for me but deep inside I know he is sad about it...I hope some of us here have already received their VISA...Take care all of you! hope to hear from you!
much hope
