Had my consular interview but dox under review

Published

I had my interview last week but I was given a 221g letter stating that my documents will still be reviewed by them and will just receive a letter regarding the result. I have given them all docs that the consul needed. For me, I answered the consul's questions quite well. Actually there were two of them so I think one is some sort of a trainee. I was not asked for any additional docs either. The consul didnt even inform me that my case has to be reviewed. By the end of the interview, she just asked me to take my seat and wait for my number to be called.

At releasing ( when I thought everything was ok) the lady told me about the 221g letter and gave me the pink slip. she said that I will just pay for the courier service just in case the consul decides to send the visa without a second interview.

To all who have undergone this same frustrating experience, please kindly tell me how long it took you to be called for interview or got your visas.

Thank you

to paraw,

our lawyer paid my dependent's visa. in my case, i was asked to submit a notarized job offer letter and NBI clearance.

your patience will soon be rewarded. just hold on tight.

GOD bless to all...

dral,

Im just wondering, How are going to count working days?

Do we really have to call again to the embassy?

Still confuse....

They say patience is a virtue but if my visa got delayed for whatever reason I'd definitely feel the anxiety that most of you felt/are feeling right now.But keep on praying.

I posted on this thread to ask, how much are your pre licensure rate?(since it has been mentioned alot).Just so I (and probably others) can have an idea if their pre licensure rate is within the normal/acceptable range.

hi shyrn and to everybody! thank god i already received my visa and my dependents visa this morning. i have waited for almost seven weeks, i have submitted my lacking dox (july10), the pre and post rn rate job offer letter and nbi clearance of my married name.. i just included my husband in the ds230 during the interview and paid for the visa fee on his time of interview, its because i got married after submission of ds230 /packet 3.. i have not called the embassy to follow up, because its too expensive and they would always tell you that it is under process.. to shyrn,i have wrote a letter to the consul general and chief immigrant visa unit almost every week, through fax, mail and email.why dont you try writing them, i think it would be helpful.just check on the website of us embassy manila for the fax number and address...the long wait is over at last... god is an answering god. god is good all the time..thank you lord for this blessing! for those who are still waiting just keep on praying! i know it will arrive soon.. i will still include you in my prayers.. god bless to all!
