hi! everyone im just a newbie here!, it's so amazing wow you here were all able to process your papers that fast. i wanted ASK TOO MANY questions,( sorry for that) i was really confuse about the processing procedure and really dont know how to do it, but considering i just passed the nclex last year, i know i have to go tru allloooot..i haven't taken the ielts yet coz im afraid it might just get expired.. can anyone here tell me the STEPS that i should be doing right now in terms of applying abroad??

i remember when someone post a comment, i think that was suzzane, she has told there that she never never never recommend the visa, i just forgot what type of visa is that..?? does anyone remember that???

You need to decide where you want to go and by what route. There are drawbacks to getting a work visa for the US but generally the H1b is a specialist visa and if you loose it you have to leave the US unless you are able to find another employer willing to keep you on H1b. Also no guarantee you can stay in the US if you have a GC application in progress and your H1b is up. Even if you go the H1b route you need English exams and vsc in hand

It is the H1C that Suzanne never recommended.

Both I believe, H1C and H1b as nurses can be abused with both and be paid less than a USC or legal resident and if cancelled the nurse will unless finds another employer have to leave

Well I would disagree with that statement. Any working visa has the requirement to leave the country if the job falls through - you go into it knowing that. Nobody but a USC is guaranteed the right to stay. You can't (in theory) be paid less on a H1B than a USC/PR - labor certification is a big part of the working visa in which the employer undertakes to pay the prevailing wage. I am on a work visa and certainly am not being paid less than USC coworkers.

I am on a working visa too and I am not underpaid. I think the salary they offered me is just and fair and that is based on the number of years of experience.

But there are still hospitals that can pay less, That is a risk and can happen.

well thank you everyone here for sharing your knowledge!!

as i have read h1b is valid only for 3 years, but yes you can extend it by "dual intent"? yeah H1c the one that suzanne never never recommends. i read that it only had 14 hospitals that are accepting H1c and also has 3 years validity and maybe the only difference is that in H1c yu cant have it extend.. ( well im really not aware of these terms, but im getting to know it one by one here).. im really grateful:nuke:

actually, i had this employer and shes offering me immigrant visa,, i dont know whats that called,, and she told me that it's the most suggested working visa nurses should have, even if there would be a problem with your work, you cant be force to leave the US and be able to become US resident.. ( am i geting it right?)... for now my employer she's not communcating with me anymore and maybe the reason why is that im not yet complete with my requirements,,im just done with the NCLEX,,no ielts yet and i dont even have any hospital experience yet:( i just hope she didnt give up for me..

you mean! it depends on the years experience you got here in the philippines,, they do base your salary on that? coz it could be real,, sometimes it happens..!! or maybe you mean it depends on the years experience you already acquired on your current job, like every year you get raises...

is it possible that a visa is faster to be processed than the other visa?? example if i would compare H1c to H1b visa, which is faster to be processed? im just wondering if that happens or not?? (silly me)

It depends on how fast you will comply to their correspondnce and the service center working on your visa.
