I decided to start a thread:idea: to find out if there's anyone who's applied or plans to apply to Georgia Stat University's Spring 2011 program. I have already sent out my application package in the middle of August. I know that we won't start hearing anything until October, but I figured it would help reduce the pressure of the wait for us to have discussions about it here.
Hope to hear from GSU applicants soon; and if there are former/current BLSON students on here that can give us some advice and helpful words it would greatly be appreciated.
I'm not home so I have no idea, but I'm not gonna worry about it. I'm actually at the book store right now studying myself. Thanks for the well wishes. Same to you...
I had class today and decided to go to the nursing dept. to see if I could get any info. concerning the status of my application. I was told the committee meets each week and there are two more weeks before all decisions are made. And the wait continues......tick-tock. :-)
Thanks SweetPEI.....I hate that you are having to wait too but am glad to know there is another person out there along side me. I met a woman on the train yesterday who TRULY helped put things into perspective for me. A real wake-up call! She was neatly dressed and very well spoken. She told me she had been looking for a job downtown and didn't have any luck. As our discussion continued, she told me she and her 5 grandchildren were living in a homeless shelter and she had to find a job within the next 30 days in order to stay at the shelter. As I tried to offer her optimistic comments, it was her stop on the train and she exited. A real REALITY check on how blessed I am and I need to get my priorities in check. I know that God loves her too and will bring her through her difficult time. As I walked to my car at the train station I realized how very grateful I was that I can even go to school and pursue my dreams. AND thankful I have a God who taps me on the shoulder now and then for me to look around and pray for those going through dire life challenges which we see each day. (particularly in the area around GSU) Please offer a prayer today for "Beverly" and her grandchildren. Thank you!
Hello everyone. I must admit that I have been stalking this blog daily to see if there are any updates and whom with what got in. Congrats to all who have so far and thanks for all insider info that has been shared. I haven't heard any letters lately and am curious about the traditional program acceptance letters. I applied for either or but a posting earlier mentioned it might just be ACE that have received responses. Either way, in the last couple of days I have been full of nerves checking the mail. My anxiety is through the roof. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Icamp that really does put things into perspective. We are often so quick to complain about our situation instead of realizing how truly blessed we are God has truly worked wonders in my life and that is why I choose to continue to put my trust in him. I will definitely ask God's blessing for Beverly.

If it makes you feel any better just think of it like this; Your decision is already made! whether it's in the mail yet or not, God already knows what's best for you and no nursing committee can change that.
And lcamp, i definately have Beverly in my heart and will definately pray for her. Sometimes we do fail to realize how blessed we are to even have the opportunity to pursure this career. Good luck to all of us as the semester starts wrapping up and we have to go through dreadful finals. eeeekk!

I know! Totally sucks right? Well I know God laughs and perhaps this is his way of telling us that no matter how much we stalk the mailbox, He works in his own time

SweetPEI....did you hear something definite? From what I was told, there is one more week of decisions. What ever it is you decide, I wish you all good things!!!!
