I decided to start a thread:idea: to find out if there's anyone who's applied or plans to apply to Georgia Stat University's Spring 2011 program. I have already sent out my application package in the middle of August. I know that we won't start hearing anything until October, but I figured it would help reduce the pressure of the wait for us to have discussions about it here.
Hope to hear from GSU applicants soon; and if there are former/current BLSON students on here that can give us some advice and helpful words it would greatly be appreciated.
It appears to me that they mail out the letters on Thursdays, so hopefully tomorrow lcamp and sweetpei will get their letters. Prayers going up now :-)
Has anyone been able to register for classes yet? I read somewhere that it take 2 weeks after you pass the PINS test, and somewhere else 2 days. Also, how do you know when you can register?
hey! i have some more questions for you guys while your anxiously waiting. do you think its possible to finish all the pre-reqs for the traditional program in a year? (summer,fall, spring) i took a bunch of ap's which cover a lot of the pre-reqs but they dont give me points for those so im retaking them all anyway.
hey i'm also still in hs like you. however i am a junior and am taking "dual enrollment" courses at gpc this year engl 1101 & 1102, hist 2111, pols 1101, math 1113, and psyc 1101. next year i plan on taking chem 1151 & 1152, biol 1611 & 1612 a&p, math 1431, engl 2111 & 2131, and econ 2105 & 2106. with this i will have many of the nursing prerequisites completed. why did you decide to retake many of your prerequisites? also what type of hc volunteer work have your preformed?
can anyone else here comment on starting gsu in pre-nursing with this many of the prerequisites completed?

Thank y'all so much for those words of encouragement. It really put me at ease just now. I'm still here praying and still believing that it is HIS hands!. I might need to borrow your duct tape strategy though Icamp lol. Svictor, I also claim it! God knows what is best for his children, so I am just trying to keep my mind on my classes right now, which are pretty much keeping me busy. Had 3 exams this week, which is why I haven't really been om here. But, of course, that has not stopped me from holding my breath and having my heart pound :heartbeat everytime I check the mail

Hey, I was wondering how many prereq classes you are taking right now?
I'm taking 3, but two are do overs because they expired (a&p 1 and abnormal psych) Yea saad right? I took then more than 5 years ago, and gsu does not accept those two if they are more than 5 yrs old by the semester you apply for. They just expired in may
SweetPEI....I didn't get anything today. How about you? I need to be studying, so guess I better get my mind off what is in the mail and stop worrying about something which I have absolutely no control over!. I need to stop thinking about what could BE and start thinking about what IS .....like my stat class homework. Gotta' hit the books!! Hope your week-end is good!
on here that can give us some advice and helpful words
