GSU FALL 2010

Published

hi to all blson aspirants,

let me start by saying that i am a little bit nervous because fall 2010 applicants are the first that are required to take the teas test. i'm also a little bit excited to have come this far. i'm hoping to get accepted into the fall 2010 program.

i will be keeping in touch with this website as much as i can this semester. to all 2010 nursing school applicants, i sincerely wish you all the best of luck.

Well, best of luck this time! Thanks again...

Hello All-

I also applied to the GSU Accelerated program...am anxiously awaiting some type of news.

In addition to GSU, I also applied to the accelerated program at KSU and the traditional programs at Mercer (was accepted) and Clayton State...

Not sure my numbers make me the most competitive applicant for GSU though (3.96 GSU graduating gpa, ~3.5 program gpa, 3.8 math/science, 88.2 TEAS)--we'll see--fingers remaining crossed.

Good luck everyone!

Good luck everyone!

Unfortunately, after three years of taking prerequisites to try and get into GSU's program, I decided I could not get in. Not a competitive enough GPA and TEAS/NET score. I focused on other schools and got into one that I feel is the one for me. :)

Congratulations! Where are you going to school? Do you like the program?

Thanks! I was accepted into Mercer's program last year but couldn't start because of various reasons. I reactivated my application for this year and got in again. I start next fall so I haven't started yet but I have friends who went/go there and they love it. They especially loved the environment and the way the professors are more "hands on" to help you if you're struggling. :)

That's great to hear! I've also been accepted to Mercer's program for Fall 2010, but have not received my financial aid package to see if it's even a possibility. I've been super impressed with their customer service though--they have been absolutely wonderful!

Everyone can begin their mailbox stalking... According to the nursing office, the first round of letters just went out... Hopefully there's some good news on the board soon!

My anxiety level just went through the roof :uhoh3:

Do you know if the first round of letters were just for acceptances--or were they for initial rejections as well?

Thanks!!

I don't believe they send rejections until both the traditional and accelerated programs are full. At least that's how it appeared for Spring 2010.

That makes sense...KSU sent rejection letters recently though (and the letter said they had over 700 applicants!)--I guess you either got a interview letter or a rejection letter...

So, are the first round of GSU acceptance letters to the strongest applicants?

My (admissions) status check still shows file complete and ready for review....

You really have the inside scoop--thanks for sharing!

OMG :uhoh3: The suspense is killing me!! I was just reading this same thread but the 2009 version, and someone said they got an acceptance letter on like March 8! So I was wondering if anyone on our board has received letters, but now I know that none of us will know til at least tomorrow since the letters went out today. UUUGGGHHH I hate this!

Good luck everyone, I'll definitely be doing some mailbox stalking as well as on this board.

Do you all still have "Application Status: Complete - Ready for Review"
