  1. I still don't see an announcement for advanced reading - am I the only one who missed this? I followed the instructions bellefemme gave, but it seems odd going that route, as all chapters have "advanced preparation". I know the professor sent us all an email back in July and she didn't mention it either. I guess it just seems odd to not have some type of announcement - did anyone see this and I just can't find it? Thanks for your help!
  2. Great....thanks for the heads up, bellefemme !
  3. Hey - does anyone know what the code for paying our ATI fee online is? I can't seem to find it, and I saw the announcement on ULearn stating we're supposed to pay online instead of sending a check to GSU.
  4. Well, I took the nutrition 3300 (which can be substituted for 3200). So, I'm not sure, but there may be slight differences with the way it's taught if you take 3200 this summer. But, the papers were released one at a time - so there wasn't the possibility of completing them all at once. The format for the papers were simple, though - more like essay questions that needed to be answered, and everything came directly from the book. Does anyone have any suggestions for the CPR class?
  5. They are essentially the same class (3200 and 3300). I just took 3300 early to get it out of the way this Spring, so if there are different professors, it may be slightly different. But, I've heard from those who have taken both that they are the exact same class.
  6. I just finished the Nutrition class (took it this Spring semester). Very easy class, not much to it - 2 exams, and 5 papers. I'd recommend anyone who's thinking about it to get it out of the way before Fall, if possible. While it was easy, the papers were roughly 5 pages each, so it takes a little time. I was told from those who went through the program that anything we can do to reduce that first semester workload is worth it. Also, it's an online class, so it won't interfere with enjoying the summer, family, work schedules, etc....
  7. Your PINS will show up in uLearn just like a regular class shows up - about 2 weeks after you received your letter it will become available. And yes, you will have to get CPR certified, by the American Heart Association.
  8. Hey sunniefresh, I took both the history and constitution tests (they didn't accept my transfer credits) last year. They give you a study guide for the exams online, which you can find here if you haven't already: http://www.gsu.edu/counseling/history_constitution.html The questions come directly from this study guide, word for word (even the typos are the same). Use those and you'll ace it. Good luck!
  9. The PINS showed up on ULearn about 2 weeks after I received my letter. And for the quiz - it's not really a quiz, just some things to know (orientation, CPR, etc), so no studying, it's very general information.
  10. Hey ATLbubbles - my PINS icon did show up sometime last week, and there were 2 quiz options, but I just took the Accelerated. I looked, and they are pretty much the same quiz, but I'm not able to register yet either. I think it says somewhere that it will take up to 2 weeks after completion of the quiz. But today, my PINS icon is no longer on ULearn....odd.
  11. Hey Brandon (bbisso1) - that's great....congratulations! The ACE program is 16 months, 4 semesters - so it will conclude in December of 2011.
  12. Congrats UGAdawg!!! Looking forward to it! ATLbubbles - My PINS review/information/quiz was posted last night on ULearn - took a little over a week for it to show up...
  13. That's great news....congratulations!
  14. I've talked with a lot of people at school (who have really good GPA's), and they haven't heard anything yet. In fact, everyone I've spoken to hasn't heard anything.
  15. Not sure if this helps any or not, but the letters sent out last week required a reponse by April 2. It said, "Due to the many qualified applicants waiting to enter the nursing sequence, we need your reponse no later than April 2, 2010."
