GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

I am interviewing at the Athens campus - which is great since I live in Athens. How about you @trichick?

Speaking of interviews - what has everyone else been wearing? Suit or business casual?

Congratulations on your interview!! That's so exciting! To my interview, I wore a black suit.

I'll be interviewing at the Augusta campus:)

Last year for my interview I wore black slacks with a dress shirt. Hahaha I thought about wearing the same outfit this year so they would recognize me;)

I went business professional. Navy pencil skirt, blouse, and blazer! I also had a portfolio binder with copies of my resume! Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great!

@runfast16- how long did your interview go?

I interviewed at Athens. The lady you check in with is very sweet! The interview only took about 15 minutes.i thought the panel was polite and it wasn't that stressful! Just remember to breath. I received my acceptance letter 2 2 weeks after my interview!

Hi @mas91! I just took my GRE today and got a 294. I really want to retake it, but I also want to apply as soon as possible. Do you know the average GRE score for your class? Do you think I can get in with this score?

Hey, amitch32! I haven't been as active on here as usual. Took a long break after this LONG semester ended :) I did not take the GRE so I am not sure. I think the minimum was closer to a 300-305 for most of my fellow classmates. I took the MAT only because I did not want to spend the money on the GRE.

I know this is probably a long shot but it cant hurt to ask- is there anyone on this thread who has been accepted to the Augusta campus that will need a roommate? I know that student housing is an option but I would definitely prefer to live in an apartment off campus! Thanks yall!

I had hoped that they would have the dates that the admissions committee meets on the Master Calendar like they did last year, but no luck this year:(

I applied with a 294 and I got an interview so at this point in the game given our timeframe I would go ahead and submit. If you want to retake it, do so and you can send in your updated scores too
