Grrr - MCCDNP Wait list

Hi all!

So the MCCDNP site says "Spring capacities choice change options should become available late in September."

Well, I called today to see when they are expecting to release the choice options because it's already getting pretty late in September - they told me late OCTOBER!

Pushing back the date and picking 2 months before nursing school starts seems a little unprepared and unorganized to me.

Yea, it kinda feels like getting kicked in the gut, over and over again. I will get my hopes up for november 4th nursing draw, and pry just repete the disappointment process again.

Don't they repeat every tuesday? Where did you get Nov 4th?

Don't matter... I am done. I have such a bad taste in my mouth now. I don't know what I want to do. There has got to be a better system than this mess they use.

they normally draw every 2 weeks, november 4th is a tuesday that is 2 weeks from now. I agree, i have such a ****** taste in my mouth as well.

I definitely know how you guys feel, I got into the Gateway Part time program and my time stamp was June of 07, so AZSamantha I would still keep hope alive for a deferral placement spot.

my timestamp is oct 2007 and I didn't get placed this round either.

I am literally heartbroken.

I am so upset I didn't get in, and you all are right, its like they are kicking us in the gut - over, and over, and over.

I am praying I get in for the next placements however there are 40 people in the 15-18 month waiting period (me included) and I highly doubt there are going to be 40 defferments.

It's like a broken record - I will hope so much I get in when they do placements again November 4th and they will just keep letting me down.

While there was 97 deferrals last semester, so hopefully there will be more this semester. I just kinda am at a stand still, because i can not take any more classes, and i hate just sitting around with my thumbs up my butt. I just want to get my RN, but lately the process just really sucks.

all this time I've been working random jobs, right now I work at AT&T making way more money than I would as a CNA. I'm starting to worry by the time I get in I'll be so out of touch with it all.

I should study through my A&P notes and book again or something.

If I were you I would definitely study A&P and if you can, take a Pathophysiology class

You know, they say that if you apply now its what, a 3.3 semster wait?? Well, I applied Oct 2007, so counting that fall 07 semester, then spring 08, fall 08, and then spring 09 (if I don't get placed this semster) that will be 4 semester wait for me to start fall 09!!! And I applied a year ago. With them giving 25% + spaces a semester to the healthcare partners, those that are applying now will have to wait 3+ years!! Its getting just rediculous!!
