Grossmont Nursing Spring 2017 Cohort

Published

Hi! Good luck to everyone who applied for Spring 2017! I just wanted to start a thread for those of us anxiously awaiting to hear back. I will be applying to Mira Costa and Palomar, as well as SDCCD and southwestern later in the year. How many points does everyone thing they had? From what I've read, it seems like most cohorts hear back in mid-late September. I wish everyone the best!

I thought for sure today would be the day. I wonder if they would even tell us on a Friday. :( The waiting sucks.

Maybe Monday !!!

I feel like I am going nuts by checking my email every 10 minutes then checking on here to see if anyone has gotten an email. It is so nerve racking! I am pretty sure we will here tomorrow or monday. Looking back at previous cohorts- they started getting notifications on the 17th, but I did read that some cohorts started getting theirs on the 16th. I just want to know so I can stop obsessing over it haha.

Same!!!!! And if I calculated right, for the fall they would have found out tomorrow. It was like 6 weeks and a couple days. I soooooo hope we find out tomorrow. But I bet it is tomorrow or Monday.

I wonder if the other cohorts were stressing as bad as we are lol

From what I read on a few of them they were doing the exact same thing as us.

I'm sure they were!!

Has anyone called to see? :) Also, anyone have the three semesters for a language? And if so, what was the grade requirement? Just in case this isn't my semester... I'm thinking of taking two more semesters if I can get away with a C- in span 101

Does grossmont calculate (-) into the the GPA? For example B-...

I took 4 semester of a language- I didnt have to provide any grades for those courses, but they will probably look on my transcript. I dont know if you need 3 or 4 semesters of a language in order for it to count for the program. Supposedly, grades A-D are considered passing which would make your C- passing. You can probably search it on google. I did a quick search and found this:

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

It talks about grading criteria. Hope that helps some! I have not called the office, but I am going nuts waiting!!

My gosh , another weekend in suspense !!!!:arghh:

Yep another weekend to suffer through waiting. :(

I haven't called... I hope somebody did though!

I took three semesters of Spanish. I think a D and above counts as passing since it didn't specify C or above like it did for the other categories.
