Grossmont Nursing Spring 2017 Cohort

Published

Hi! Good luck to everyone who applied for Spring 2017! I just wanted to start a thread for those of us anxiously awaiting to hear back. I will be applying to Mira Costa and Palomar, as well as SDCCD and southwestern later in the year. How many points does everyone thing they had? From what I've read, it seems like most cohorts hear back in mid-late September. I wish everyone the best!

I want to say 40? But I honestly don't know, that seems like a lot.

I called today and they said they should have them done end of September or beginning of October! I am going crazy!! DX

October???!?! That's even longer than 2 months! :((((

It sounds like 40 applicants. Under the headline "LVN to RN" on the webpage Nursing the last sentence states, "If you are within the top 40 applicants, you will be invited to attend the full 2 year Generic ADN Program." It does sound like a lot though! Im really curious how many people applied. It worries me that it is taking this long.

I heard they haven't decided who is accepted for the next cohort yet. I would love for it to be next week but maybe the first week of October.

This is so crazy!

Emilymichelle! How did you know they haven't decided yet? Did u call? That means that there are probably many strong candidates! I'm so nervous now..

A friend of mine taught a skills class there today and asked if they had decided on the next cohort yet, and the response was no.

I bet we have to wait another weekend.

Maybe they are thinking about larger class size or restructuring. They have been choosing candidates for years I'm not understanding the hold up !!!

I know! Because even if there were more applications this cohort to go through - it's still been over two weeks longer than the last couple cohorts took to find out. So I don't get it.

Not to worry everyone! We will find out sooner than later!
