Grossmont Nursing Spring 2017 Cohort

Hi! Good luck to everyone who applied for Spring 2017! I just wanted to start a thread for those of us anxiously awaiting to hear back. I will be applying to Mira Costa and Palomar, as well as SDCCD and southwestern later in the year. How many points does everyone thing they had? From what I've read, it seems like most cohorts hear back in mid-late September. I wish everyone the best!

I applied for ADN..from what I've read from previous cohorts, people start to hear back towards the end of September, once those people accept or reject the offer, they extend acceptance emails to others. You just have a few days to respond with a YES. Great job everyone. Also, is anyone taking the new teas exam? I'm taking it in a couple days.

Im an LVN, but how do I know if I applied to the lvn to rn program? Wasnt the application the same?

At the top of the application there was a box to check ADN or LVN to RN I think?

I haven't even thought of the TEAS 6 yet! I think I'll wait to see what happens with this. How did you end up doing on the TEAS 6? Was it much different than the other version?

There was a box at the top that you checked for either program. They haven't done an LVN-RN step up program in a few years, so I'm not getting my hopes up on that one.

Did any of you guys apply to Palomar or Mira Costa? I was wondering what. Your guys first choices are if you get into all of them (would be awesome am I right?)

I'm applying to Palomar on the 6th...right after I take the teas 6.... They extended their deadline for people who wanted to take the new teas after it came out. I've been studying a lot so hopefully my score improves. I applied to Mira Costa as well. Anywhere I get accepted to I'll go. If I get into all three I'll likely choose grossmont :) I'll let you know how the new teas goes. You can use a calculator on the math section now :)

Hey Emily,

I don't know if they mentioned this at Mira Costa but they are allowing you to replace your Teas V score with the new TEAS score if you take it even after you submit your application. That is what the lady said at the info meeting anyway :). just thought I would pass it along.

Hi Jamiee, thanks for letting me know! I had called and asked that a while ago because thats what it says on their website...but the woman on the phone told me no. I will submit my new scores anyway! Thank You!
