Hi,
it looks like I will be starting in spring of 09. I have been out of school for a while. How does this program work? Should I start doing some early reading?
i wonder why you got the letter so late they sent them out at the end of oct.
Well, I was chosen out of the Scripps Healthcare Grant program which is made available to Scripps employees. We have all the same requirements as regular waitlisted students, but in addition to those we had to submit an essay, letters of rec from managers, and most recent performance evaluation. The program was created in June 2008.
Congrats SDMamma!I just sent my letter to tell them I wasn't attending.. I wonder if they gave you my spot :)
Wow, maybe they did, lol. For my hospital alone Scripps had 21 slots for Spring and I was lucky #22. I must have gotten in based on SOMEONE not accepting....so THANK YOU if you were that person :)
Ok so I just took a look at my Grossmont acceptance letter and it is dated October 17th, 2008. That makes me alittle peeved that despite the fact that I called several times to see if I was chosen, they barely gave me the news today.
Nonetheless, I am happy to be accepted, I just dont see why if this letter is dated almost a month ago, why did they withhold the info.
which scripps do you work at? I just work as a temp so they wouldn't allow me to do the entry via scripps.
I don't really want to answer that in such a public forum. But I will say that they allow casual or per diem employees to apply too if they have been @ Scripps for at least one year. You have to actually be paid by Scripps though, not a staffing registry.
