Grifters will Grift!: Republicans Demand to Know what Happened to Vanishing GOP Millions!

Published

One theory is that donorship is WAY DOWN for the GOP because people who actually have money don't want to align themselves with Nazis and White Nationalist political clowns that are in lock-step with Trump.  The other theory is that political Trump-supporting trash has done what their Dear Leader would do, GRIFT the Party!

That quote is from the chairman of a Democratic PAC.  He seems to be pontificating for the audience of the Huff Post.  It doesn't seem to be a widely popular theory as the poster suggests

That being said, I would concede it's a plausible reason, but my hunch says no.

The Democrats and their supporters try to put all of us in the category of the MTG types.  And try to paint us all as racist, bigots, misogynists, homophobes, etc.  That only makes me want to see them defeated even more.  Not backdown.  I'm not alone.

There are other reasons fundraising may be down. I think it's more likely due to confidence, maybe overconfidence, that the House will easily flip.  Combined with some bad Senate candidates.

We shall see.

I agree with you on the bad Senate candidates. And there a couple of humdingers out there.

I try not to lump any one together in one giant, like-minded group. I think one can be a small-government, conservative without supporting bigots. I also think one can believe in unenumerated rights such as privacy or voting without being accused of being a Marxist.

Really? What am I wearing? Could you guess my pro- nouns?

You should keep your fantasies to yourself.

Wait... it's your fantasy... I'm just imagining it,  you dancing around me and my weak arguments.  Isn't that what you were going for?

You would have to tell me, what ARE you wearing in your dancing fantasy? Will your clothing give me clues as to your preferred pronouns?

Follow your own advice about your imagined dancing. The projection is anticipated at this point, like a reflex or a tic.

Newsweek has an article about Rick Scott and the RNcs dwindling bank accounts. It points out that he was deposed but not held liable (pleaded the fifth x 75) in the massive HCA Medicare fraud case in 2000.

And the RNC put him in charge of fundraising for Republican senatorial candidates. Apparently some campaign advisers are calling for an audit.

I wonder if they’ll really do it.

BOLD MINE

Let's not pretend that pontificating is a turnoff for GOP voters.  I mean, really? That's the opening criticism in the era of Trump, President Pontification?

I wonder about the bolded portion. In these very threads we are accused of that over and over again and over and over again there are no glaring examples of this presented. Pointing to the fact that republican voters will vote for people of low character is not the same as calling someone a liar or misogynist or racist.  Everyone decides for themselves what that means about the voters. I've indicated before that I believe it's a sign of widespread indoctrination of otherwise well intentioned people.  They may not be a liar but they've been coached to believe that it's OK for their candidate to lie about election security because the other candidate is part of a pizza parlor pedophile ring or slightly less outlandish but equally false suggestion

Do you think that liberals and independents and moderates and conservatives who haven't pledged fealty to Trump and his lies are motivated by the Anti-Democracy language and behavior of Trump's political party, political office holders and political candidates?

Do you think that people who are alarmed by authoritarian pushes to ban books and literature are motivated?

Do you think that people who are horrified that the Trump SCOTUS just overturned settled law and created nightmare situations for young women and Republicans cheered it are motivated.

You want to defeat liberals because you feel like you are being labeled by the politics that you support with your vote.  Republicans are showing us that they will break our republic to give you that.  Are you okay with that?

I'm not okay with that.

I think much of the controversy about the National Republican Senatorial Committee is not about fund-raising, but about where the money is going.

Ric Scott got into hot water earlier when he announced a plan=platform that included making lower income folks pay more in taxes.

I don't know how much money it will take to rescue the Walker campaign in Georgia. He seems to think we have too many trees.

Yes, honesty and integrity has been questioned and there are calls for audits.

I think that Scott, already embroiled in a financial scam in the past, is suspected of diverting funds.

A lawsuit having nothing to do with Scott has been filed in Ohio against the Ohio party leader and party treasurer to account for some $3mllion missing dollars.

And the original poster who submitted the topic still hasn't explained what Nazis and white nationalist have to do with it.

It's because really any Republican is deemed a Nazi and white nationalist. It's the new definition apparently.

I'm sure they all think you and I are the same LOL.

Let's change definitions and refuse to define some. Such as, what is a woman. And the avoidance of them to say if it is a women's  (even tho they don't know what that is) choice to terminate a pregnancy whenever she wants.

It is okay tho because average people do not commit to such a idocracy. Including Democrats.

Do you think that only one side does all the things you listed above? Lie, push political talking points?

Do you think the majority of Republicans believe in pizza parlor pedos? LOL

Sure.

Then you should stop imagining that you are dancing around liberals and their weak arguments... maybe you can't control where your thoughts go... there might be some support for that excuse.

Why do you suppose that the anarchists and racists want to join forces with Republicans?

I don't know. I guess you'll have to ask anarchists and racist that question.

While you're at it, ask Jeffery Epstien and the other child rapist Harvey Weinstien why they were democrats?

Why don't you tell me? There must be a reason that you are asking me since I haven't said that only one side lies or pushes talking points. It's not possible that you are trying to use a strawman argument is it?

Similarly, since I didn't say nor imply that the majority of Republicans believe in pizza parlor pedophiles that must be another of your imaginative fancies.  Must be because you wouldn't pretend to not understand something would you?

What I will say is that only one party elected an entirely unqualified and corrupt television personality to run the country. Only one party made excuses during that single chaotic term for the quiid pro quo, abuse of power, lying and incompetent mismanagement of a pandemic.  Only one party swallowed obvious lies about election security and then tried to defend or minimize an effort to undermine the peaceful transfer of presidential power. Only one party cheered the reversal of settled law that the places the health and safety of young women in jeopardy because of the feelings and beliefs of a minority.

Nah...I don't think that the majority of Republicans believe in pizza parlor pedophiles but too many of them believe a fairy-tale about Trump and the last election.
