One theory is that donorship is WAY DOWN for the GOP because people who actually have money don't want to align themselves with Nazis and White Nationalist political clowns that are in lock-step with Trump. The other theory is that political Trump-supporting trash has done what their Dear Leader would do, GRIFT the Party!

Speaking of which, a number of non-magaphile users have self-identified as conservatives who decline to engage because of the incivility.
I would love to hear from serious republicans/conservatives what is happening on the ground to answer the original question.
No campaigning allowed - from either side.

Hooray. You found one. Sound like a bunch of idiotic insecure men. They committed a crimes and have some civil cases but I can't see any super duper terrible terrorist attacks. Hardly a covert terrorist cell.
It's good to keep watch but there are many more worse crimes being committed around the country en mass. Perhaps we should focus more on that then the boogie man that might be in the closet saying racist words.

Reading your post, I get the impression that you are attempting to downplay the threat that domestic terrorism of the white supremacy variety poses. The words in your post that I bolded makes it impossible to take you seriously.
Are there any other kinds of terrorist attacks than ”super duper terrible” ones?
What crimes are being committed all together/in a group/all at once (en masse) that are worse THAN domestic terrorism?

Awww. Geeze. Shocks.
I'm not down playing anything. I wonder, how many people died from white supremist terrorist attacks in July? While ya all worried about what some people may be thinking and their possibly mean racist THOUGHTS, 68 People Shot, 8 Killed in Shootings Across Chicago Over July 4th Weekend: Police. Now before you group me as a white supremist for pointing this out, the color of the purportrators are of no significance for me. Nor are the victims. However, the Democrat party so preoccupied with skin color allows young black men to die en mass everyday in places like this. No no, pointing out a problem would be racist right? While allowing people to die. A real white supremacist would love how democrats allow the slauter of these people and completely ignore the problem.
How would you like to down play that? I'm not concerned with what thoughts people might have, I'm concerned with the loss of life. Until white supremacist terrorist kills this amount of people in one weekend,, I prefer to focus on trying to save the lives of people who die every weekend while democrats worry about the boogie man with mean thoughts.
Before you accuse me of deflecting etc. Please note, I care about lives, not ideologies perhaps some of you should too.

Nah, I'm a land mammal, I usually dance, in circles, mostly around these weak arguments in these threads.

Yep.
Not downplaying.
Not deflecting.
Not here to "own the libs"
Just here to dance around rather than engage in any adult discussion. Is dancing part of the assignment or is it part of the reward in the game you are playing... like drinking liberal tears?
I'm conjuring the mental image of you dancing in a circle around me... smiling. Are you a good dancer? Will I be taping my toes closer to 50 or 100bpm?

Really? What am I wearing? Could you guess my pro- nouns?
You should keep your fantasies to yourself.

This quote is from the original article posted:
“With extreme candidates and extreme positions, maybe Republican donors are finding these candidates are out of step with where they are,” he said. “Maybe voters are feeling the same way.”
No, it doesn't say Nazis or White Nationalists. But what other extreme position do you think it indicates? $30 insulin?
That quote is from the chairman of a Democratic PAC. He seems to be pontificating for the audience of the Huff Post. It doesn't seem to be a widely popular theory as the poster suggests
That being said, I would concede it's a plausibile reason, but my hunch says no.
The Democrats and their supporters try to put all of us in the category of the MTG types. And try to point us all as racist, bigots, mysoginists, homophobes, etc. That only makes me want to see them defeated even more. Not backdown. I'm not alone.
There are other reasons fundraising may be down. I think it's more likely due to confidence, maybe overconfidence, that the House will easily flip. Combined with some bad Senate candidates.
We shall see.

As TMB has pointed out, during every election season AN becomes infested with brand new users and users who have not posted in months/years and never in political threads.
They swoop in and spam the boards with misinformation, lies, personal attacks and general hostility that seems to be calculated to keep users fighting instead of talking.
In this context, imperfect command of American English and idiom is one clue that there’s something fishy here.
Cui bono?
