You might check with the Missouri Board of Nursing in Jefferson City. I work at
the Kansas City Veterans Hospital in Kansas City, MO and I think that it will be
a great place to retire from. If I can be of any help let me know.

Hello! The job market in Missouri is pretty sad right now. Oh sure there are tons of traveling jobs or contract jobs but only in speciality areas like CCU or Med Surg. I am specialized in Psych and I will tell you that there is nothing available in my area. I know that KC has a huge hospital "Western Missouri" that has psych and there is a Two Rivers Hospital that deals with only psych in KC. Otherwise you have to go to St. Louis to find positions in psych. I wish you all the best in finding a position for you. I have done all kinds of psych in Missouri but most of the places that I have worked for, have closed down. I know of other places but they are pretty far away from KC.
Have you considered the Kansas City Veterans Administration Hospital?

Hi Everyone!
I was born in St.Louis but raised in the small town of Perryville approx. 1hr 1/2 south of there. I graduated from Southeast MO. State nursing school in Cape Girardeau in 1991 & worked at Southeast MO. hospital for several years before moving to Western North Carolina where I have lived for the past 9 years. Desparately missing family & plan to move closer to home soon.
