I am working south of the river at the Kansas City VA. I understand that the VA does a lot business with KU. I work on 10 west. Inpatient mental health.

Hello! The job market in Missouri is pretty sad right now. Oh sure there are tons of traveling jobs or contract jobs but only in speciality areas like CCU or Med Surg. I am specialized in Psych and I will tell you that there is nothing available in my area. I know that KC has a huge hospital "Western Missouri" that has psych and there is a Two Rivers Hospital that deals with only psych in KC. Otherwise you have to go to St. Louis to find positions in psych. I wish you all the best in finding a position for you. I have done all kinds of psych in Missouri but most of the places that I have worked for, have closed down. I know of other places but they are pretty far away from KC.

We have a 25 bed unit that is psych here on the 10th floor. You might put in an application here.
