Well, it's time for another application process. I don't know about y'all but I am ready to start this program! I have been reading these threads and boards for what feels like years trying to do all that I can to get in!! And I have finally reached that time.
I just turned in my application. I hope some of y'all are out there reading this. I would like to know who all is applying this year. I just wish it wouldn't take until JULY to find out if we make it in or not!! I understand why but dang! I don't want to commit to something else and then look like a flake 'when' I get my yes from Grayson!
I just wanted to know where you stood on the points line and how many times you've applied OR if you are currently in the program what kind of advice you can lend and give.
Thanks!!!
Does anyone know if immunizations have to be done prior to applying? The old nursing packet said they had to be done before orientation, the new one doesn't say, all the new one says is that they have to be done. I think I turned in my final hep shots in march but I'm not sure, and I don't want to call and ask because if CH took the paperwork and put it in my file when she shouldn't have I don't want to screw myself up. I'm one of the few guys applying and I've bugged her so much that I'm sure she knows my voice by now.
I'm not sure exactly. I had all my shots completed when I turned in my application (since this was my second attempt at applying). I know she told me TB Test and Flu shot didn't need to be done until we were accepted. As well as CPR certification. I email her a question every other day (at least) and she is always really fast to respond and never seems put out...so I would say ask her just to be safe!
I have to agree to your comment and I am so glad someone else is on the same boat. I am a parent of two girls and I feel like they are growing up and moving on and I am still on the same boat! It is so disheartening and very unencouraging, its like I don't know what else to do anymore. ugh!

gijenn021487,
i am am right there in the same boat with you! I have busted my hump for 4 years (part time) while working and raising a family and to go up against 1,000 other really smart people is hard on your confidence. I don't know about y'all, but after my second rejection I kind of felt like "what's the point!" Lol. Everyone says just retake a class. Well uh some of us can't. Whether it's money or time or sheer stubbornness - (tee-hee-hee)
