Wow! I can't believe this thread is still going. I am now 54 and in my second semester of nursing, since I posted almost a year and a half ago. No longer a straight A student, and difficulty level is a sphincter factor of 8. WOOO HOOO ! What a ride. Keeping a good attitude will definitely help no matter who you are and I think age helps to deal with the stress. Hang in there, like I said, it only gets harder.

I came back to this thread one last time just to review when this all started. It's like all your furniture is on the truck for that move to a different city, and you look around the house one last time remembering when this happened or that was said. Most of us are moving on to what will be the beginning of our career/new career, and all the struggles we will face for the next couple of years. Dang, I'm feeling a tad misty. Good luck to us all, and for those that didn't make it this time don't worry you'll make it, and we will reach back and help you if we can.

Where was everybody sitting? I didn't have a chance to try and meet you guys after the GNSA thing cause I had to run my daughters to the airport. I was in front on the end.

Congrats I already bought them at the bookstore, and all the ebooks that come with the set are really awesome. That was my only worry about buying as we needed them, was did we need a code or something. Now I know we don't need one as far as JB said but no regrets for buying them all at once while I had the money.

Have any of you that got wait listed heard back yet from the program?

I have been talking/posting to some of you for months and am looking forward to meet you. It's funny but the road ahead of us will be long and difficult, but dang i feel like I'm getting ready to leave on vacation.

Jenn, It says in the letter that I got that we have to buy the kit tomorrow and it's $100 cash or check only. And I'm soo pumped for tomorrow, it's cool that tomorrow I get to meet people I'm going to be seeing on an almost regular basis for the next couple of years.

Well, tomorrow is orientation and I don't know about y'all but I am bringing copies of all my required documents. Just because of the fact they seem to have misplaced a lot of documentation that was turned in and disappeared. ( Like my final hep B series. And Jsweet418 missing immunizations). Call me a nervous Nellie but dang I worked too hard to get here.

Me too. I'm kinda confused though because I'm showing on my schedule that I only have class 2 days a week. Are you showing the same thing?

Okay, so earlier today I got a call from advising asking if I was going to register for school this semester. I told them that I had been accepted into nursing and they would probably let us know what to do at orientation, she agreed saying she thinks they register us at orientation. I started thinking about it and decided to email CH to find out for sure what I needed to do for registration and books and stuff. This is what I got back. You can purchase them if the bookstore has them available. If you are on Pell you may need to want until closer to classes starting. As for registering just login to your portal and sign up for RNSG 1423 (any section), 1119 (chose which section you need morning or afternoon), and then 1360 (any section because they will decide who gets which instructor the first week of school). I hope this helps anyone else who was wondering.

Congrats to you too. I signed up for the class on the 7th & 10th of august. I probably don't need it but any extra help is better than a rude surprise. For some odd reason life has chosen me to be the receiver of those.
