Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.

Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.

Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.

Thanks! I am not afraid of math classes and I have taken Statistics before for my ASN degree...honestly, I'm not sure why I have to take it again and I received an A in it before. I just figured it wasn't geared towards healthcare before! I will just do it right away. Thank you again for your input! :)

Yes if ur a numbers person, a very easy class, no surprises..no group projects....you either know ur stuff or don't,lol The DQs were very straight forward, and if u know stats, you should be able to whiz through the homework

This is my next class, taking a week break to recover. Classes are harder now that I have started my new job. I get home and I am wiped out.... No desire to study just take a nap.

It is writing intensive in the beginning. I took 1 day off work and finished most of the papers so I could go on vacation. But no CLC so that in itself is worth a lot to me.

I have completed the RN to BSN program!! Nice to have it behind me, and now off on holidays for 3 weeks! For the most part GCU offers a good program! Could do without the group projects, and wish the Profs paid more attention to the Plagiarism on the DQs...submitting them and the responses to TurnitIN would solve that!!

GCU called me up this past week....and I guess they want you to post as close as possible to the end date of your final class in obtaining ur BSN......I guess this helps them figure things out and pass along ur BSN degree. They said reply to a DQ, or pass along a TY to the prof..just some kind of post near the end of the final week!!

I don't get the reasoning behind this at all. Either way it is something I can do. I have the perfect emoticon for this..... It is a smiley dropping a microphone and walking away.... Under it I will write "peace out"....

If I can find it I will share it here later.... On break for a week.... Needed it!!!!

ty..now chilling in Amsterdam.....no papers due....................

Congrats, Flames - I just finished too! Great to know I have a month off before starting at Gonzaga. I got accepted into their PMHNP as of last week, so I'm excited :) Also happy to have a month off from writing papers and studying.

By chance were u just in HLT 317? bunch of us just finished that were in that class. Congrats on the next step. I have no clue what I plan to do next. I really haven't worked as a RN in awhile and don't plan to for the next few yrs either......i may just start taking classes with something totally different, or classes towards hospice care. Worry about that after holidays,lol.....congrats and good luck.

I have stats next but I'm taking 3 weeks off to spend the last little summer with the kids! I was wondering if anyone could PM a Professor that I can ask for you had a good experience with. Other than the very popular one I have been told so I have a back up last name A. I like many of course am so freaking nervous over this class I have been dreaming about missing the first week LOL. Thanks so much!
