Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.

Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.

Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.

Ya she did the same for me!! My wife looked at my responses/rationale and thought I had made good points! Oh well! It is what it is!!

My guy had docked me on things for my rational too. He would also post the right answers and I had a few that said the exact same thing but in different wording and he still counted them wrong. I confronted him about it and he gave me my points back. Still passed it with an A. We just need a C in all classes to pass.

I feel for you guys. Is this on the DQ or the homework? If you get stuck don't rely on Khan Academy. Google the heck out of the terminology until somebody explains it the way you understand it. I remember stumbling with the Chai Square. I finally found this guy from the south and in his really thick draaawl, explained it to where I understood it. Even my 5 stat books stumbled with definitions. Take heart, once you are done with it, you are on the downhill slope!

The homework. I'm ok with the DQ's, for now. I do have to google a lot because I have no clue what anything is! My hubby brought me some books from school to use*L*

For any future people taking stats I recommend this book: Statistics for Health Care Professionals: An Introduction: Ian Scott, Deborah Mazhindu: 9780761974765: Amazon.com: Books

It's on the spendy side for being such a small book, but it was very helpful. I started reading it months in advance and I honestly believed it saved my butt. That and the dummies book.

My recommendation for those headed into this class it do not rely on Khan to be overly helpful. Read ahead of time to be comfortable with the terminology and symbols, etc...

Thanks tokmon I will take stats after my next class. I will to get the book now so I can ready ahead.

The DQ's are not an issue...Just the exercise book questions, and then the excel part

Hey Flames,

Check your pm. :) Yeah, those exercise questions were painful. :(

I am in desperately for some help. I am currently on Health Assessment class (NRS-434). And I have to turn in a "Health History and Screening of an Adolescent or Young Adult Client" with 3 nursing diagnosis. I was wondering if any of you have done that already. In that assessment there is a section (under biographical data) asking for "Source and Reliability of Informant:". I am not sure what does that mean. How I am suppose to check the source if I was interviewing a person. I already asked my instructor and got no response yet. I also posted not he open forum and my classmates seems to be confused too.

For those that finished that class already and know what the heck is that I would really appreciate!! this assessment is due tomorrow.

Thanks.

$10 and I will gladly help.
