Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
That class was NOT fun when I took it, and it's gotten worse! Heavy, heavy paper class.
Last week! Pretty good group for CLC so hoping for a decent grade on that. The assignment aren't super clear for week 5 and asking for clarification the instructor copies and pastes the unclear directions. I will be glad to get this class over with. I noticed somebody mentioned a lengthy paper for the last class. Is there something I should be doing now to make the last class less painful? I have 8 more classes to go. Looking forward to enjoying my free time NEXT SUMMER. ☀️?
Can someone help me figure out the answer to this question:Does it look bad in anyway to have received your ADN and then transferred to an online school to finish your BSN vs a "regular" college? Does it hurt your chances in anyway on getting a job?
Everything I have been told is that as long as your BSN is from an accredited school it's all good.
Well I now have my next two classes lined up with good instructors. I have to say I really like that about GCU, having the availability of many different instructors and the ability to requests certain ones. I also have to give a hand to my adviser, he has been very helpful, patient, and accommodating with my requests.
How are you able to find out which instructors provide a good learning experience. The one I currently have is not really engaged but my previous two were really good.
I think school is extremely stressful.. we all love to learn, but..there are those deadlines. I am also worried about signing up with a school that does group projects..
Honestly the group projects I had to do during ADN program were probably worse than what I've experienced thus far as I'm finishing up my 4th class.

Congrats on being almost done with CH! I wish I had the stamina and drive to go straight through from class to class. As it is I will be done in July next year if I did, but I need to take breaks in between so it will be more like Sept-Nov of next year before I am done.
I have mentioned to a few my application to GCU. Many many have been supportive. However, there are nay sayers. You are 57, what difference does it make? No one cares if you have a BSN. You just need to go out and get a social life, that will keep you busy.
I gather they feel it will be busy work with no purpose at my age. I am not hurt, but am thinking about all of the comments I
read and hear.
Have any of you run into this sort of thing?
No, I haven't heard of age being an issue, but then again, everyone I know going back to school are in their 40-50's. I have had nothing but positive comments, and even if I did have a few negative ones, I would ignore them. It's MY life, so they can bite me. I personally think your nay saying friends are two things: Ignorant AND jealous.
I never would have believed that there was a difference between an ADN and a BSN until I went through this program. SURPRISE PEOPLE....
