Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Hi all, I'm still pushing on! I am now just to about to finish week 3 in Capstone and I feel like procrastinating! I am currently writing up the "Developing an Implementation Plan" assignment and I am on my third paragraph working on the problem description which should not take too long since I turned in my problem description paper during the first week. I have to tell you all that picking "Bedside shift report" as my topic was a good idea because there are tons of studies and information and I also found a government handbook (20 pages long) on how to implement bedside shift report! So, I am really happy and things are going really well so far. Almost 2 weeks left before I'm done!!!
YAY!! Another soon-to-be-grad!
I also had statistics for dummies, although I never opened it. I used google to help me understand what was all going on. I hope you can figure it all out
Google came in very handy. The books explained it differently, which I liked. The idiot book was actually more complicated than the dummy. Goes to show you that people write and understand concepts differently.
Kathleen,
I am a current student with GCU & on my 5th class. These wonderful people in this forum have lifted my spirits in the last couple of weeks. Just like nursing school, this program had it's moments of grace and OMGs. So far it has been good. Just had some personal challenges but rediscovering this forum has been so beneficial for me. Whatever you decide, I hope that you find a supportive group & a buddy that you can go through the program together.
Good Luck on whatever your choice may be. We are all here to support, love on one another, and crack each other up.
CHEERS!!

Did you try statistics for dummies? It was my favorite book, lol.
Edited to add that I also recommend Google. I did that a lot until I found something that made sense to me.
GCU recommends Khan Academy.
