Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
TOKMOM! DID YOU NOTICE YOUR THREAD HIT 100 PAGES??? :anpom: :wine:
Wow! That is super cool!! I remember looking for ANY information on GCU and found a thread that was sooo old. I never would have found Pandora, my GCU/AN buddy if it wasn't for this thread, or met Prism or any of you. Gosh, I'm getting sentimental.
Thank you all for the advise on the classes and profs. I am so happy at what was recently accomplished due to y'alls helps. So I start statistics on the 21st. any hints or ideas as to where I can go and "practice", get familiar with the subject?
Gracias (Spanish for Thank-you)
IMO, the description on GCU about the stats class. It mentions what you will be studying..ie..chai square, median, mean, mode, so on and so forth..What I did was research every one of those descriptions and study them. Start basic. Get a stats book for dummies and start on page one and read it, NOW. Become familiar with hypothesis, null hypothesis.
The problem with that stats book you have to use with GCU and the class in general, is the class does not start at the beginning. The chapters you need are well into the book. It seems back assward to me.
You don't have to be afraid of this class, however, really try to do some homework ahead of time.
Hey all it's been a while. I hope you are all in good health and stick kicking along on these journey at GCU! I am just finishing up pro. dynamics today with an A and so far so good. I had an amazing instructor that also teaches others courses. I am willing to share via PM. My next class is Family-Centered Health Promotion, and I can use any pointers on how to be successful if some of you guys are in a helping mood;) I can also use the name of instructors to stay away from and instructors to request. Thank you all in advance! Keep up the good work guys!
That's the thing....it's not making any sense at the moment. I don't want to feel this way.How about Youtube vids. Are there any out there that can help me? I am a visual then audio learner...

Hi there, I usually have access to the classroom on the Thursday before class begins, I guess that is today for you, or it may be tomorrow Friday. You can view everything and download the syllabus. I did a lot of google searching to find help and I found videos on Youtube about every spreadsheet you will be doing, unless they change it. Search for tina9msu on Youtube and see if that helps, I was grateful to have found her videos and I wish she could have been my instructor because she provided her students with extra help.
Hi all, I'm still pushing on! I am now just to about to finish week 3 in Capstone and I feel like procrastinating! I am currently writing up the "Developing an Implementation Plan" assignment and I am on my third paragraph working on the problem description which should not take too long since I turned in my problem description paper during the first week. I have to tell you all that picking "Bedside shift report" as my topic was a good idea because there are tons of studies and information and I also found a government handbook (20 pages long) on how to implement bedside shift report! So, I am really happy and things are going really well so far. Almost 2 weeks left before I'm done!!!
