Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Hey ewes!
Prism...you funny!
Glad to have converted another, lol. Like Prism said strap yourself in and hang on for the ride. You will learn a lot in this program, and be grateful you did so, when it's all said and done.
Instructors: Yeah, no names, or GCU may hunt us down, hehe. Anyway, I think most instructors are fine and I think people get too wrapped up in moving their schedules around in hoping to avoid the crazy ones. What Pandora and I did was check out the announcements before the class starts and read what the expectations are of the class. This will clue you in on the APA Nazi's and very regimented ones that may drive you over the edge.
Are you worried about Patho?
I am worried about patho and I am not even there yet.. lol I have a ways to go. I am in last week of second class and taking a week off because they are laying off RN's at my hospital and asking people to take a severance pkg, which I did. So now looking for job and our landlords want to sell the house we have rented for 10 years. Just taking a week off to clear my thoughts and then I will be back on track and more focused than I am now.

Wow, that's a double whammy, I don't blame you for taking a break. That means you will have to get used to a new job too. I hope it goes well, keep us posted!
For some reason Patho seemed busy to me. They only had 1 DQ per week but it was detailed because some were case studies. It was a bit different from the others, maybe more intense in some ways but I did like it. You just have to break down the rubrics and make sure you cover what they ask for. Also make sure you really understand how they want you to participate, I kind of got confused with that an missed a few points.
Ours took maybe 2-3 weeks after the final grade was submitted. It sure is pretty.Thankfully it doesn't say:

Well i'm glad about that! I got a call from my new adviser today and although he asked me about "walking" he couldn't tell me when or how. He then sent me an email with links that don't work! Dumb ass! So I am not sure yet if I want to walk or not. I did find out through some investigation that it would be in October.

Welcome ewes! Yes, I think tokmom should get a reimbursement for her tuition based on the number of referrals!
I'm a tokmom convert too!
I'm not familiar with the instructor you listed, so no help here (sorry). BUTTTT, please please refrain from using any instructors' names or even initials on this (or any) thread. No potential identifiers whatsoever - none, nada, nil, zippo.
Welcome on in, strap in, you're in for a wild ride!
