Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Haha yes I did was going to ask you all the same until the followup email about it being a GENERAL reminder
I had to laugh when that followup email came letting everyone know that it was a general reminder, basically telling everyone to calm down. I'm sure the 5 hours in between those two emails was absolute chaos at GCU-Central with all the calls they got from students! LOL That'll teach them to send a general reminder addressed specifically to the student by using their name and making it appear personalized to that particular student I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time!
We don't have a lot of peeps on mine, mostly just people that have been in my CLC groups!
So your FB group is an ongoing thing not just for that particular class? I'm naive about FB, never had an account, never will (my husb is on it enough for the entire western hemisphere so I refuse to take part - plus my high school years were not the most fondest of memories, so no need to relive that ). Do you use fake names? I'd be too afraid potential or current employers would be perusing the goings-on (which I know for a fact my employer does; not only for current ee's but applicants as well). No worries?
She asked me to contact the school and see what the schools policy was. I just left it alone!
Nope, no email about plagiarism or paper sharing sites. Our Stats prof must have stated in 10 different places about no plagiarism, and how she has her own database she checks, lol But she was a very good prof.
Back when I was doing pre-reqs for my ADN course---in my Psych class--the prof gave take home, open book exams! Sweet!! On the final exam, she caught a fair # of students cheating in the school cafeteria---all copying from 1 other student. So I see and understand the profs many plagiarism threats, lol Was an article I read a few weeks ago about how a guy makes over $30,000 a yr writing papers for University kids. He actually writes them, so they are original. Think he quoted $3500 to complete a class. crazy!

Yeah, kind of, and have added others in as well, as well as some people I did my ADN with! We aren't too active, but if someone has a questions someone has an answer! And yes, we use real names. I have my profile set to private so only my friends can view it, and I do not have my place of employment on, just says I'm a Registered Nurse. No co-workers on either.
No emails for me!!! Now I want a Plagiarism email!! lol Not sure why people would even try and cheat--the program they have in effect, would catch you pretty easily! Only 89% similar, good enough--Submit,lol
Some people are gifted at writing papers! Easy money for them. I think that is one issue society has though---too many book smart people, but not enough smart people with hands on skills!! Oh well!!
DQ #1 completed for this week! The class does not officially start until tomorrow----So I hope the DQ do not change! lol Oh well!
