Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Flames Thank you for the response! I guess I will try stats with spirituality and see how I do with that. Out of the group projects I have had three have went super well, one not so great. I just want to finish ASAP because I feel like all I have done for the past five years is school! Do know who is a good instructor to get for Nursing research, patho, and the capstone? PM if you can! Thanks again!!
How is it going? I had the spirituality instructor from hell (no pun, lol) because he was HARD. I came out of that class with an A- and that was doing a lot of tedious editing.

I just completed the first week and it is ok so far. Lots of writing!!!!! I am better at Stats then I am spirituality. I have a harder time understanding what exactly the instructor wants with these topics. I am hoping to be able to continue doubling up as long I can find good instructors. If you have a recommendations please PM me!!

i deleted the sheet that had the good/bad profs.....not sure how accurate it was..as I had a prof from the "avoid list" and she was fine. Best of luck

You know Flames? I agree with the deleting of the good and bad list. Some of my favorites were hell for other students.
What I tell people is to get into the classroom on Friday and look at the class expectations. If the instructor looks nutty, then get out of the class and do not post. When Pandora and I went through in 2013, we were the only two on AN who actively posted. Therefore, we had no way to know who was tough other than looking at the class expectations. Overall, we did really well with who we chose..

I never had an issue with any of the profs...followed the instructions..made sure I followed the rubric....of course my wife is a very good proof reader, lol If you understand APA, ur good to go....
My main issue has been just trying to find consistency with classroom requirements. For example the first stats class i was placed in the instructor wanted the two DQ posts and then five FIVE 5!!! student responses per DQ. Just reading it overwhelmed me (especially doubled up like I am) so I traded into a different class and it has saved me! I am treading water while taking Stats and Ethics together. I really appreciate all the help I have gotten through this thread! I am trying to just keep trucking...

I never had a prof make 1 do extra DQs.....Most just cared if you did your 2 DQs and then had 6 responses in total...but some followed the rules where u had to post 2 responses in a day for them to count. Best prof I had, had written a lo ton her expectations, her policy on cheaters, she sounded like she was going to be strict, which she may have been, but she was awesome. She had actually done the RN to BSN program at GCU so she was well aware of the problems most faced, especially the slackers in the group projects, lol
This tread has been really helpful in choosing this program over excelsiors. When I emailed the Nursing advisor she told me there is no math requirement and only $150 a credit for active military or military spouse?? That seems way to good to be true!! Can anyone clarify if this is something new? Thanks!

I know they give a military discount, no clue how much it is. Not sure on the requirements either, but they look over ur education transcripts for free. There is a stats class in the program. best of luck
