Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

I have been fortunate enough to get great feedback from colleagues so I haven't had to do this. However, I've heard others have added things as needed. The school requires a lot of work and I can say I have learned a lot but you really have to manage your time.

"What class is this for"

It is for NRS-440V | Current Trends in Nursing Practice. I received some feedback from people I sent my presentation to a total of 5 people but only 3 have given me feedback so far, and it was fairly limited. Most of it was along the lines of "good job" "I didn't know that" and so on. The final paper is due today, so I am just focusing on the fact that most of them did not know about the named organizations or initiatives, and the need for further education related to them so that more nurses are aware.

Just editing because I posted a professors name and was now aware that this was not allowed.

I am starting at GCU on Monday and I've read most of this thread LOL thanks for all of the info!! I have looked all over Facebook and can't find a group for GCU RN to BSN program so I started one. Here's the link for anyone who wants to join, figured it might be a good way to keep this type of info going! Log into Facebook | Facebook

Good luck to you! :) I hope your FB works. I think having support is crucial, especially when you want to quit, lol.

Just wanted to come back and let you guys know I finished the program today! It felt amazing to turn in that last assignment and never look back! The light at the end of the tunnel is there and it's beautiful! I wanted to quit so many times and I'm so glad I stuck it out. Good luck to everyone starting out or close to being done!

Hello! I am about to finish my fourth class and am starting Stats next. I am interested in doubling up with it. I have Trends, Patho, Leadership, Ethics, and Nursing Research still to complete in addition to Stats. Which of these would any of y'all recommend doubling up with. Ideally I would like to pair off all of these classes and then do the capstone on its own of course. Are there any y'all would steer me away from doubling. I am a devoted student. I do work three 12 hour shifts a week in the ER and have kiddos but so far I have been completing all my classes with A's and want to try to finish as quickly as possible. Any advice or help even related to good instructors for these classes would be tremendously appreciated!!

All depends on the person on doubling up...if your a good writer, then its very doable. Most of those classes do have group projects...Stats, spirituality do not have group projects! Many do double up, but I never did as I wasn't in a rush...well I was in a rush when I started my paper on noon on Sunday, lol

Flames Thank you for the response! I guess I will try stats with spirituality and see how I do with that. Out of the group projects I have had three have went super well, one not so great. I just want to finish ASAP because I feel like all I have done for the past five years is school! Do know who is a good instructor to get for Nursing research, patho, and the capstone? PM if you can!

Thanks again!!
