Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Karma will work for the person who plagiarizes.....

I hope.

Just finished with the Implementation Plan for week 3. Figured it would be 15 pages but in reality it ended about 15 pages and about 2400 words not including the Appendices. I have worked on this assignment longer than I have spent at my day job this week. This is not healthy, I need to cut my need for perfection wayyyyyy back...

Looking at starting week 4 tonight with the discussion posts but maybe I will just relax. Then I will be behind next week....

Mine was just under 2000 words. Struggled some days, but when the mo-jo hit I was off and running. Took Sunday off for me and went to do something fun. Had a great time seeing the pinnacles again. Monday morning here.... back to the grind stone and working on DQ's then the assignment.

Mr reassures me the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train. I told him I hope it is the lights in Houston, Texas waiting for us to get home. LOL

LOL Far from it. My Implementation Plan assignment was just under 2000 words.

I'm-a gonna need a whole bottle or two of wine when this whole mess is done!

How long is the whole paper supposed to be. the end one? And if you re not using previous work done in that class, how is it even possible?

I think the rule about using previous work for the final paper is instructor specific. I am lucky I guess to have this instructor. Honestly there is no way she will remember each of my papers so I plan on cutting, pasting, with little paraphrasing. As long as my TII score is below 25% then I will not be concerned. I find that the grading is fairly easy.

I am estimating that my final project will be around 45-50 pages including all needed information (title page, abstract, body of the paper, conclusion, literature review, references, and appendices). Sounds like a lot and it truly is but it is also completed over the five week period. First 3 weeks are a bear and busy but this week has been fairly tame. Next week (this weekend) I will just put everything together. Hope to be done Wednesday next week.

I had a question for anyone who has completed the capstone. Did you include feedback from the organizational leader you shared your project to inside your project? There was a question about this in the forum and the facilitator of course said "it should happen".

OMG!!!! Do you think this person should graduate???:::

Lately there have been posts in the QTI forum about accessory information and tools needed for evaluation of our plan. These quesitons have been somewhat mundane but today one person actually asked what is an appendix and if it should be added to the finished project..... What is an appendix? Are you kidding me?

Should half of the people we encounter in our classes graduate?!!! LOL

How do people still not know how to correctly cite and reference? I have the CLC assignment due Sunday and still cannot believe the formatting of the references and what I have to fix. I don't know why it continues to shock me....

Luckily there is this thread to allow us to vent!

I am thinking that as well. You can't make this stuff up. It is bad of me to poke fun at my peers but some of this is unbelievable! In all 11 classes before this one I have never seen so much traffic in the question to the instructor forum. Total of 24 questions/topics with nearly 5-7 comments for each question. A couple QTI forum topics have more than 10 responses..... I can't wait to be gone!!!!
