Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
OMG the group project for public health is the worst! Has it recently changed, or has it always been this bad? Besides interviewing a public health official and doing physical assessment of the community, we have to write about 12 functional health areas. Like down in the weeds, one of the questions is number of public restrooms!!!
Anyways, my group has some piss-poor writers. What do y'all think about editing other people's work? I mean, I'm gonna fix the citations and all, but what about content? It's definitely bad enough to get marked down right now, but I'm not sure I have the time or the will to go and fix 12 slides worth of problems. And I don't want to get blamed if it gets marked down anyways.
I do not believe the assignment has changed recently. I vaguely remember this assignment and if I remember correctly it wasn't bad once you get going on it. I think that they were looking not for a count of restrooms but if there was facilities for the public to use (developed open areas). We used my community for the CLC and I was surprised with the amount of information I found once I started searching. I wouldn't go too deep just a general overview of the community.
I have fixed grammar issues and even minor problems with citations and references but I do not touch content. If it is really bad I ask for it to be fixed. All communication should be in the color forum and if there are problems then contact the instructor. I wouldn't be so quick to assume that the assignment is real bad. Many of the CLC assignments I turned in were awful but usually it was graded softly. I would not stress over it too much.
A while back someone stated that they found capstone projects submitted by peers available to read. Does anyone remember where they were found? I am looking for ideas how to pull everything together and I think the example provided in the class is awful. Spent a little time looking ahead and don't understand where the body of the paper is coming from. I mean which module pertains to the overall body of the paper?
Officially on break, all first week assignments turned in. Underestimated the time it was going to take to write, edit, and proofread. Will work through the break, at least a little
Same here.... was fried in the brain and said ok.. not going to wait and read it in the morning one more time. Here it goes!
Sitting her enow wondering what to do with my time.....NOT! LOL
Working ahead and stopping now but will likely finish up a patho DQ that is due our first week back. We will be going to my parents for 10 days and I am sure that at some point while visiting them I will knock this DQ out - already did most of it but these suckers are long! There is only one DQ due each week on Friday but they do take some time....
Have a wonderful holiday and break everyone!!

I wrote in the forum asking them to fix their reference citations. As for content....that is what they hand in. I am not redoing someones work. I will fix grammar just because it is easier to do than to ask them to do.
