Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
AMP-450V starts on Monday, and then the capstone. Last day of my capstone is January 31, 2016. I can not wait, but that goes without saying.
Count down time! You are close! Capstone will fly and drag by all at the same time. After week 3 it becomes so much easier or maybe I should say clearer. You can see the end!
I doubled up my first two, Professional Dynamics and Family Centered Health promotion. It was pretty dang hard, but I managed. One of those, I think Prof. Dynamics, didn't have an assignment due the first week, so that was okay. I am glad I did not double up when doing Assessments, the last week we had two projects due. Two classes at a time is manageable but miserable.

Did they change this? We couldn't double until after the fourth class

I have come to the conclusion it all depends on ur adviser! I was told by mine that 100% 1 could not double up any part of Capstone with another class..she stated it was a strict GCU policy.....we all know that is a bunch of baloney as I know a fair # of other students did (and they did that to get the Capstone prof they wanted) And on my FB page, many complain how they adviser is pretty much useless.....It is very obvious many of these GCU advisers dont even look to see if the requested prof is teaching at the requested time. I believe GCU gives a decent education, but many of these advisers can do a better job!
Hi All- I'm currently enrolled in GCU RN to BSN program. In the midst of my 3rd class Health Assessment. Multiple classmates are having issues with this instructor. When questions are asked or clarifications sought regarding assignments she just copies and pastes the assignment instructions. There's even a thread on our forum multiple students are utilizing to try to help each other find answers to questions and provide support. Needless to say I'm not sure my last assignment was even completed correctly (she takes a long time to grade assignments).
Right now the wellness care plan for Health History and Screening of an Adolescent or Young Adult Client has me stumped. I'm working on researching it on my own and have been utilizing the care plans books GCU provided. Just frustrating to not be able to get guidance or clarification. My last two instructors were phenomenal and I'm hoping to avoid instructors like this in the future. Any good experiences or recommendations for instructors? Specifically, Concepts in Community and Public Health or Introduction to Nursing Research.

Most of the profs I had were fairly decent, but some, well not exactly why they signed up to teach at GCU. It is not as if they have to develop any part of the curriculum!! Make sure you fill out the end of class survey truthfully!
