Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

I have a question about the Health Organization Case Study assignment in Leadership. It says to use Harvard Business Review or Hoover's Company Records through the GCU library. I have tried both of them but haven't come up with anything from Harvard and very little info from Hoover's. Am I not putting in my search criteria correctly? The organization that I chose has some info on their website but not enough to answer all of the required topics the rubric is asking for. Any advice??

I bailed on those and just found a company that fit the criteria and had the answers by web searches. When I found one I was familiar with I used it, a company I used to work for - when I was a baby nurse, Adventist Health West. :cat:

Hi derk, I also didn't use those recommended resources (though if I had, I'd have called a librarian to walk me through finding whatever I needed - they're the BOMB). I did what Winter did; I picked a certain Catholic goliath because they're so prevalent in my area. Honestly I found most of my stuff by googling the heck out of it and even found some cool videos on youtube that were official releases from the Prez & CEOs that talked about specific things like staffing, resources, and everything that was in the rubric. That posed its own challenges though because then I had to learn how to reference YouTube and podcasts!

Do you feel for the most part you are searching, searching for info... and the writing part is the easy part?

if u know how to find proper articles....ur laughing......in the GCU library..they offer many resources on how to conduct research.....

Same here. I just found an alternative one on my own.

Hey guys!!!! Sorry I have been MIA....I hope all of you are doing well! I have to catch up on all the posts. I am in the last class I will EvER take at GCU then moving on to taking 2 DSST exams instead of 2 more classes. I am so done with GCU.

living out of the USA..can't do the DSST route for my 2 classes....I know 2 people that wrote the exams....not a cake walk they said.....they studied for the exams

Wow Flames you know 2 people that wrote the exams?!?! That's crazy!!! I have no other choice...it was either take 2 DSSTs or 2 more classes at GCU and I am so done with them.

Specializes in Certified Med/Surg tele, and other stuff.

As crazy as it sounds i rather write papers that study!! lol

thanks for the advice on the health organization case study. I have been googling until I can google no more! I am stuck on information for resource management. Just can't seem to find much out there. I have spent more time researching than I have writing. I still have a paper for patho to write and we are to go out of town for the weekend. It looks like I will be taking my laptop with me.
