Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Brrr, what a mom you are.

I am about to start. I want to count backwards from the holidays, so that I have time with my family. I can not find the calendar on the website and the stupid chat person thought we had 7 week classes. Great. Can anyone tell me what sort of time is OFF for the holidays?

I lost my kitty of 20 years on Labor Day, I now have two rescue kittens that are amazing. But no deer. Don't get me into deer, I live in WI and I can't even address the deer issue.

Rob, here I go.. no turning back this time... my time to ride down to the canyon!

Did that person really think the school was down in Grand Canyon? I still chuckle at times about it! My Dad is in Phoenix 1/2 a year, says the school is VERY WELL thought of in the area.

School is so engaging/stressful/nervewracking/ satisfying. You will a adjust, sounds like you are student at heart. Give yourself the summer...in response to Prism!

Isn't the net and TV stupid after great education? I can't bear to watch a movie any more. And I haven't even started.

If anyone checks in and is just starting, please know I am starting next Monday. I would love a buddy. All of these folks are great support, but I missed the boat by starting with some of them.

That person was correct - the class that you are in over the Christmas break turns into a 7 week course.

But aren't the classes all 5 weeks? And with the break, yes, 7 weeks? Is it good to plan a class to be done before that time so you have a break or is it better to have the extra time to work?

No she thought all of our classes were 7 weeks long. I give up regarding trying to find info on the main site. I now understand this is a huge operation and not everyone knows the whole delio....

Look on the GCU portal under academics and look at your academic schedule. It gives you the prospective start and stop dates for each class. Then you can figure out what class you will be in around the holidays....

Of course this will change if you take breaks... Gook luck pink, it can be done!

I will be starting GCU's RN-BSN program this upcoming Monday. I know that several people have mentioned doubling up on courses- can anyone recommend at what point this should be tried?

Also, has does anyone know for certain whether or not the ANA discount is still valid or not?
