Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

I am in my 2nd week of spirituality and I have to write a paper comparing 3 different religions and their care philosophy. I am having a hard time finding the information to answer the following questions. For those of you that have completed this course, where did you find these information? I have been google so many different ways and nothing has showed up. I chose to write about shintoism, buddhism, and muslim.

1. What is important to people of a particular faith when cared for by health care providers whose spiritual beliefs differ from their own?

2. How do patients view health care providers who are able to let go of their own beliefs in the interest of the beliefs and practices of the patient?

I just now Googled "muslim patient health care needs" and a whole page of fabulous stuff came up! Yippee!

I think #2 is just basically asking us "do they appreciate our efforts to accommodate them" - that's the spin I took

Also gikg, you maaaaay want to consider switching out that shinto. I just googled around and it's slim pickins! Choose something that there will be a lot of info out there on. Like tokmom, I did Native American and Sikh, but chose Bahá’í for my 3rd. I felt fancy putting all those squigglies above the word when I typed it :D I learned a LOT from that paper, especially about Sikh!

Oh wait. I did Bahai (no squiggly on a cell phone) for a paper. The three or four I wrote about had plenty of information.

Thanks. Will see what I can find. I tried to choose the ones that I do want to learn about. I am planing a trip to japan then Bali after graduation so I wanted to learn about them.

Really? Must be teacher specific because I have yet to do one, and I would like to keep it that way.

I am hoping it was a typo. I sent a message to the teacher to confirm.

So a question showed up on the 'Question to Instructor' board today and it went something like this.....

Erickson's stages of development isn't in the book, can someone tell me where to find it.

Of course I paraphrased it as to not be caught plagiarizing the written word of others......
