Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

I did in-text citation in each column (just like you would in a formal paper, just add the in-text citation at the end of the sentence). then at the very bottom, the last page, I added the references. I hope I am answering your question.

I did just like you would in a formal paper. In-text citation right at the end of the sentence then reference page at the end.

I just realized my replied went twice. Sorry!!

I am in my 2nd week of spirituality and I have to write a paper comparing 3 different religions and their care philosophy. I am having a hard time finding the information to answer the following questions. For those of you that have completed this course, where did you find these information? I have been google so many different ways and nothing has showed up. I chose to write about shintoism, buddhism, and muslim.

1. What is important to people of a particular faith when cared for by health care providers whose spiritual beliefs differ from their own?

2. How do patients view health care providers who are able to let go of their own beliefs in the interest of the beliefs and practices of the patient?

I used in text citations in the boxes where I got the information from the book. Not even half of the boxes have in text citations because I came up with them without using the book. I looked at Erickson's Stages of Child Development and then came up with some ideas. It is a time consuming project so I split it up over several days so I could handle it. It may be a breeze for you, I just tend to work a little slower.

yes you did. These are the assignments that would really kill me in nursing school. You can't follow APA rules by not writing an APA paper. If the information is pulled from the text book then why do I have to write (Jarvis, 2012) at the end of each sentence. Oh well, I will cut and paste it 66 times... Thanks for the input.

Did you use hypothetical situations or information out of the book. What I mean is did you say "little Joey states his stomach hurts and is eating less" or did you say "the child would complain of diffuse abdominal pain and acute anorexia" ?

Nothing is ever a breeze for me..... Not even sleeping!!

I just pulled mine out and dusted it off, I did not do one single in-text citation in any of those boxes. I used two references for those short-answer questions at the end. Got 130/130 points so she must not have minded that I didn't in-text anywhere except in my Q&A paragraphs?

Oh, and in your scenario above, I went with option 2, except not even that specific :)

I mostly used hypothetical situations such as for the toddler nutritional-metabolic pattern is said:

Child has all 20 teeth present and parents report chopping food at meals.

Child is in 25th percentile for weight for her age.

I did use some ideas from the book such as:

Parent reports frequent night terrors, unable to calm her for several hours(Edelman, 2014).

I hope that helps. I felt like I was floundering for ideas but must have done something right-I got 100%!

I had to do some googling and re-wording to find what I needed. I choose Native American, Sikh and Judaism.

For question 1&2, did you copy the question in the search bar?

I did. I then found a paper someone else wrote with the information but I don't know where they got it from. I haven't got my 1st week's paper graded yet so don't know how this teacher is. Hopefully I am doing right.
