Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Feeling really against the wall this week for some reason. Talked to the wife last night about quitting school for a while, really tired and there are so many things around the house I have ignored for far too long...... Need to do my write up for this weeks assignment and next weeks discussion posts...... really do not want to...
I think we have all had feelings like this. I took one week off but it was really a wasted week and now I'm doubling up a week here and there to attempt to move up my grad date. If you're not in a hurry to get done I suppose a break doesn't hurt. I just fear if I take a break that I would keep putting off getting started again. Some people take a week or so off between classes. The important thing is that you do keep at it and finish. I travel quite a distance to work so the sooner I get my BSN the sooner I can be employed in the Chicago area which would allow me to sleep in my own bed everyday. Whatever you decide.....just make a plan you can stick with to finish.
I agree Rob, I'm one that took 2 weeks off in between classes, then my mom had major surgery that was another 7 weeks, traumatized by the girl who copied me all through Stats that I took a month off there...I should be finishing in January but now it will be May. So if I had to do over, I would have done one week breaks at most and ground it out sooner rather than later. You can do it, and once you get past Research your in the final stretch! Chin up!
Oh yes...now I remember this was the dry as bone paper, as in boring! This was also the one that the additional material was not with the assignment, but in the syllabus for the week. I literally put up my headings by the rubric, then took that additional material questionnaire and answered all those questions from my article. Then I took a knife and sliced nearly half of it out because my teacher would not let me go over the 1000 word count!Hello all! Tomorrow i begin WEEK 4 of intro to nursing research.I am a little confused on exactly what needs to be done for week 4s assignment RESEARCH CRITIQUE PART 2...
Can someone guide me ???
Hope that helps!

Oh yeahhhh, not my favorite paper. But I liked it better than Part I; at least qualitative is at least somewhat people-oriented. I agree with WW28, the first thing you need to know is can you go over the word limit - so shoot your instructor a PM and ask. WW28 had to cut hers down, mine was fine with going over, and to hit all those points on that separate instruction sheet I ended up with a >1400 word paper. BUT, I notice now that I had a whole paragraph on Problem Statement, which I don't see on that paper, but must have felt that was important? Even though I thought I hit all the questions in the add-on sheet (in 1400 words), my instructor pointed out things that I didn't even address like what the dependent and independent variables were. Duh.
What specifically are you having issues with, how did it go on Part I?
Hello all! I hope GCU is treating everyone well. I just caught up on this thread. I am in my last week of Research and thanks to the recommendation of a few fellow Lopes I was Blessed to have an Amazing instructor. Next week starts Spirituality and the only named that I recognized was the V.M. and I was like keep me far away from that class please. lol If anyone has any advice about this class and any instructor that would be greatly appreciated.

I just turn in this assignment and have yet to get a grade on it, but what I did was answer the questions on that other sheet. I went well over the word count like I have in all my other papers in this class but the instructor never took points off for it. After answering all those questions my word count was at 1600 but I finally got it down to 1200 but it was hard. Once you get your article follow that sheet to the T and answer all the questions and you should be fine.

It is a paper heavy class. People cran struggle in this class, sooo don't take it likely. Even though I had a challenging professor I learned much.
Can anyone recommend a good movie to use for week 5 assignment in Health Assessment? This is the one where you do a health assessment on a character from one of the movies listed. I am not really into movies so I am not familiar with any of the choices. I can hardly think straight right now, I'm recovering from a nightmare of a CLC project! I knew I would have one sooner or later, but really didn't want it during the holidays. Right as I'm stirring the turkey gravy I get a text asking what their part is in the project(and it's due tomorrow). I know you have all been there so I don't feel so bad!
I did on rain man.
