Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Okay Prism, swat that fly and get 'r' done!!! You can do this tater....

I think Rob you are an exceptional learner. No, you do not have 35 years of nursing experience as many of us old birds have,,

but you are extremely intelligent and I hope you do not worry yourself sick, in front of a fan..you are so beyond me in tech.. .. just keep doing what you are doing!

Not raining on the parade.... Wife says I am a pessimist.... I say I am a realist. The glass is neither half empty or half full, the 240 mL glass contains exactly 120 mL of fluid.......

I wonder if I can post some of these emoticons on the LoudCloud Forum?

I'm a realist too, however at times I do try to give people the benefit of doubt.

She may surprise you grasshopper ;)

I will let go because right now my life needs someone else to take charge instead of me. Just before this assignment is to be submitted I have a lot going on (including surgery) so this time I just can't be the king. I got my first paper graded and received a 100%. Although I think it was acceptable, I don't believe it was 100% work. So right now I have a perfect score and maybe she will grade the CLC in the same fashion. Really am proud of the second paper so it should be good as well.

That's right..surgery. Yeah don't blame you for passing the buck. However your creative juices may be flowing whilst on Vicodin. ;)

When is the big day?

Agree on the papers. Mine were ok..passable. some were not a 100% for one reason or another...I thought. Some classes were fair on grades. Not a 100%, but in the ballpark. Well except for spirituality.

Okay, you might think I am arguing with you, but really I am not......

This morning I created an general outline for the power point from the rubric.

page one (after the title page) is the objective of the presentation.....

Her response to me .... " I don't think we need an objective In the power point..."

My response.... " yes it is first in the rubric and worth 15% of the content points"

Were is that emoticon when I really need it!! Bwahahahahaha!!!!!

Has this girl never been to a conference? Visual presentations always have an "Objectives" slide, lets the crowd know what they're in for. Plus, it's literally the easiest slide in the deck: copy/paste the assignment description. I always signed up for that one lol

Okay, back to the paper. Man, cuttin' it close AGAIN. Somebody needs to block my AN access from Fri through Sunday MN. Bye!

Sitting where I am which is on my couch knitting and screaming at the Seahawks, (no laughing), I'm obviously not in your forum reading what she writes. I was just HOPING for YOUR sake, she surprises you. Evidently she is going to do just that, but not in a good way.

Over and out.

I submitted it to TII at 2214, and waited and waited and waited, started to have chest pains, went to the GCU IT FB page and several ppl were on there freaking out as I was. I started a chat with the IT people, composed my question with the intent to screenshot it and submit it to my instructor if need be (is this passive-aggressive a little?):

"What's the problem with Turnitin? I submitted my assignment at 10:14pm AZ time and still nothing. I have the global ticket # 1135564 from the GCU IT FB page but need to know: is that my assurance that my assignment will not be marked late because it was sumbitted timely by the student but University systems prevented its processing?"

Needless to say the poor IT chat ppl were slammed so they never even got to me by the time my TII score came back (over an hour later). So, 9% is good enough for me, that badboy got clicked away into assignment oblivion. Honestly, I wish all of you would turn your stuff in by Tuesday so that when I'm in my Procrastinista mode on Sunday evenings y'all stop jammin' me up! :woot::roflmao:

Another one in the bag, that was the last paper of week 5! WOOT!

Quit giving me heart attacks!!! Oh my, oh my, oh my! I would have freaked out, ad nauseam, and there would have been more than nausea than nauseam if it would have been me!

Raise your right hand...I Prism promise to get my assignments done earlier in my next class :cheeky:

Tip O' the Week: How to properly reference your current class e-book

So, just finished class 9, wish I had seen this 9 classes ago. You all probably already know this, but in case not:

Go to Resources tab, choose Syllabus. Choose the Overall tab (not Current). There's the proper reference for the book.

It's nice and clean, ready to copy/paste, APA style (except - if I'm not mistaken, the title of the book needs to be italicized), has an ISBN, and doesn't have all that junk attached to it that you get when you use the Cite function inside the e-book itself (I don't want all that [VitalSource] bookshelf nonsense with a really long trailing hyperlink). Which, btw, that hyperlink is a no-no per APA, if you're referencing something that requires password access (like our LC classroom & PageBurst does), you can't put that in your reference - just the main website address. But, if there's an ISBN, no need to even do the "Retrieved from".
